Every time I’ve eaten at (pre-COVID) or ordered from Roots has been a delight. I am constantly looking forward to the days when I can enjoy a Sunny Sandwich, a slice of Roots chocolate cake, or a yummy cold brew. Pre-COVID I loved sitting in the cozy cafe and looking at all of the stickers, patches and other fun items inside. Now, and since the pandemic began, I’ve felt the utmost confidence in Roots to operate in a way that protects their employees as well as their customers. I’m so happy that Roots has continued to offer the same level service and the same delicious recipes (and more!!!) since implementing precautions that make me feel safe continuing to order. The owner is extremely thoughtful and always looking to make a special experience for her customers. Not only has Roots continued to be open for takeout (and now delivery), they have offered specials for certain holidays - Thanksgiving meals, Valentine’s sweets - and have done online cooking classes and other informative videos for the community. The online ordering process is great, allowing customers to pre-order for contactless pickup. Don’t forget to tip! I’m amazed at how much this little business does, all the while making sure to have an impact on their community. Plus, there is literally no better place to go for a vegan/gf breakfast sandwich....
Read moreI hate to leave a bad review for this place because the food is SOO good, but I'm hoping management will take note.I am so frustrated with their business model I will not be returning until maybe after covid. Firstly they went on break for an entire month with no update or indicated time that they would return, and it seems like no one is monitoring their instagram page to reply to comments or post updates, their website also remained unchanged that was really frustrating and then today I checked their website again and after a month of no updates it said that they had opened again, however you have to order your food by 10 am which is an entire hour before the three hour window that the cafe is even open. I wanted to place an order at 11:30 an hour and a half before they close but couldn't. My final point is that they aren't taking phone orders, so you must order online, but there is a 15$ minimum so if you are just one person you basically have to order two items just to get the one thing you wanted. The food is GREAT as i said but PLEASE, simplify the ordering process, hire more people, expand your hours and keep your customers updated! Its the simplest parts of owning a business that makes your...
Read moreThis place bangs in every way shape and form. I am not a vegan but a person with a dairy allergy who enjoys a vegan option from time to time. I appreciate their extensive menu that caters to all of my dairy free wants and needs. It is such a special feeling to walk into a food establishment knowing I can have anything on the menu! The food is always consistent, and the staff are always chill, kind and helpful. Juniper Kitchen is such a cozy and welcoming space, I feel comfortable and confident bringing any of my friends there, vegans, gluten intolerant folks, and even carnivores alike! Although I am hooked on their breakfast sammy, 'The Sunny' (add avocado or hashbrown), their iced coffee with sweet oat cream, and their peanut butter oat bars, I cannot wait to continue to try more...
