Mediterranean Delight — Restaurant in Downey

I stopped by for s quick lunch and since this place is in a mall food court it was not busy too busy. My wife and I ordered the number 6 plate which has chicken and beef along with three sides.

I chose white rice, dolmas and Tzatziki and my wife chose brown rice, french fries and Greek salad.

I am a fan of Mediterranean foods and we have many options in my area but we stopped by here to support the businesses in the food court.

Unfortunately both my wife and I got food poisoning and we're very ill all night.

The beef was slightly undercooked and had hints of pink inside but I didn't think anything of it since sometimes I order my steaks medium rare. As for the chicken I didn't notice any pink but I didn't really look for it since the meats are prepared over an open flame and they looked well cooked. My wife however, pointed out after almost finishing all her chicken that there was a little pink in hers but due to how well cooked it appeared on the outside she thought perhaps it was the seasoning.

Around the time our order was on the grill a small line had formed and perhaps the cook rushed the order so that we would not wait long? I'm not sure why the food was undercooked but this was a bad experience.

Although it may have been a one time mistake, I will avoid this spot in the future as it was quite a painful...

Service at this place is horrible! After waiting 25 minutes for my food, they started pulling orders for others who ordered after me. Once, I asked the cashier to cancel my order because it was taking too long. She was rude and told me that I couldn’t cancel my order and that I had to wait for my food another 5 minutes, so then I asked for my money back since my food was not ready yet, but she told me that they didn’t offer refunds that I had to wait for my food, I managed a restaurant in the past if a customer would complain to me about waiting too long for their food, I’ll be apologizing and try to make it right for the customer, I called their number on the receipt while I was still waiting for them the serve my food, but the lady on the phone did not apologize for a minute, she told that she need it to find out what happened and that they did not refund money even know my food was not served Do not eat here they don’t care about the...

I don't typically eat at mall food courts, but during a recent visit to Macy's, I found myself starving and stumbled upon Mediterranean Delight. And boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The gyro plate I ordered was enormous, and the sides were clearly homemade, not from a bag from Sysco like you often find in food courts. The gyro meat was fresh and flavorful, and the salad was fresh and plentiful. The portion size was so generous that my plate was overflowing, and it even came with a pita bread. All of this for just $15! I was impressed with the quality and quantity of food I received for the price.
