I asked for pineapple salsa on the tacos instead of some other cheeses and sauces. Said they would have to charge extra .49c extra. Fine. Whatever. I asked if they could give me a side as well. Looking at the receipt. Apparently that is another .49c. I mean really?! Is .49 not enough (especially since took out cheese etc)?! I ended up paying an extra $1 for pineapple salsa (it was not that great. not as good as the mango salsa they used to have that got discontinued). That kinda got under my skin. They used to not nickel and dime but if they're going to do that, I rather just not come back. I tried the shrimp tacos. I think some of the shrimp may not be cooked all the way. I'm not totally sure though. I am going to be cooking the rest of the to be sure (got it to go). I think the blackened mahi mahi, I used to get, was still better. But it seems everything has gone downhill. Can't return it since I'm already home and too exhausted). This is not worth $15 (or $10 since made an account). I’m seriously considering asking for refund. Probably won't be coming back.

Read moreMust say that living here in the city of Downey and having this Rubio's so close by this is only the 2nd time I been here, and only because I seen an advertisement that looked delicious for their new bowls. My friend had the Chicken Chilaquiles Bowl, which they served him on a to-go bowl even though we ordered eat in. I I had the 2 taco plate (beef), came with a a side of beans (tiny salsa cup) and chips. My score is on the tacos which had cold rubbery tortillas, the meat was lukewarm and there was no bacon in there as advertised in their menu board. I was not impressed by the food nor the presentation, seemed thrown on a the plate, did not looked good to the eye, my friend did not like his Chicken Chilaquiles Bowl neither. Not returning to this Rubio's anytime in the...
Read moreI’ve went in 3 times in the past year. I come in they act like they want to avoid to serve the customer. Had to wait for the manager or the lead to stare me down and then tell the cashier to take my order the most recent time. I never try to make conversation and I’m trying to go just in and out so I don’t know what they are avoiding but it’s just rude and then they just huddle there talking in a group every time I come in. Out of all the rubios that have closed this is the worst one and I wish the other ones had not. All the other rubios I have been to in the past are just plain friendly or at least willing to take my order when they see me walk in. I crave rubios but it’s not worth walking in to deal with the workers I dread every single time to go to the...
