I was sitting in a McDonaldâs in Downingtown. I went on the McDonalds App, and order the food. I paid for the order then, when it asks me if I arrived, I click âYesâ then it says, âno I havenâtâ well thatâs because when I ordered the food, for some reason they linked me to the other McDonaldâs about 2 miles down the road, basically at the edge or end of Downingtown , is Thornedale.
Now clearly this was my fault for not checking the address to be sure that the order was sent to the correct McDonaldâs. I completely accept responsibility for that, however, on the APP there is no way, as of now, that an order can be canceled once itâs placed. The answer which they have located in the most asked questions when it is clicked on in the APP is: âCall the store where the order is placedâ
Okay, no problem right? WRONG! HUGE PROBLEM! When I say I called this store about 30 times, Iâm being serious. I actually called the number back 31 times until I asked the someone working there to try. I bet youâre not surprised to hear, that they could not get anyone to answer either. Keep in mind this was around 7:30 PM on a Saturday. Finally, I order a Uber and head to the other McDonaldâs.
I jump out, with the family, (planning to run in and run out) and when I get to the counter they hadnât even started the food yet. So now, I have had to order a Uber to a different location then where I was or where I had planned to go when finished picking up food. Drove right by my house to get to this other McDonaldâs.
I end up sitting and waiting for them for 5 minutes which Uber charged me for making the driver wait. That ride that would of cost me $9.00 and some change to get home, ended up costing me $23.00 and some change when the final total came through after they released the initial hold.
The whole experience was annoying. And this isnât the only McDonaldâs that isnât answering their phone. Iâve called others to check their dine-in hours, along with issues with orders on door-dash, no one is answering the phones.
Itâs very frustrating when I Take our money and decide to buy from that establishment, but they canât even be bothered to answer their phone, for the very people who are keeping them in business. Like I said, this has happened at multiple locations, therefore i feel this is something that none of these store owners are expressing the importance of to their employees, and on-site managers.
Please donât comment, that there is staff shortages and blah blah blah. There are cordless phones and Iâve seen some businesses where the employees and or managers are walking around with the landline phone in their apron or pocket. Thereâs always someone who could answer the call and answer a quick question, or just answer and finish up what their doing, and quickly address the customer on the phone. Itâs called respect and it shows the customers that you appreciate their business, by hearing their questions or concerns, and of course acting on it! If at all possible!
The food was fine once we got it. It was chicken nuggets and 2 plain cheeseburgers. Im thankful they followed the directions from the order. That made the experience in the end not so bad. Every one got what they...
Read moreI've been to this location so many times, and there are a couple employees who are solid and get things right, but recently, there are these gentlemen who simply do not care about getting orders right.
Last week, I ordered the same thing I always get: a #7 w/ coke and two 4pc kids meals w/ BBQ.
I received one of my two cheeseburgers, a diet coke, and two kids meals MISSING the chicken nuggets. Like... HOW DO YOU MISS THE NUGGETS ENTIRELY?!
He also didn't give me BBQ sauce and was clearly annoyed I asked for them. He gave me two, one was broken open and leaking, so I gave it back and he closed the window. I sat there, because dude... I still need BBQ sauce. I knocked on the window, he opened it, clearly annoyed, and I had to ask for BBQ sauce again. Why do they treat sauces like gold? I swear... it's ridiculous.
Anyway, he gave me one sauce, I said I had two kids meals, he huffed and gave me a second one (because apparently they're made of gold). It wasn't until I got home that I realized he had totally forgotten the nuggets and I was too annoyed to go back.
I ordered three meals, and all three were screwed up. And not just a little screwed up... they were each majorly screwed up.
I realize this is fast food and workers don't seem to care about doing their job right, but c'mon. Every time I go, there's a problem and this last time cinched it for me. I won't be going back. I'll intentionally go up the road to the McDonald's on Lancaster just to...
Read moreThey sell Bigmacs. Great then Like all Mcdonalds all over the world, there is not much to say really. Apart from the usual. You drive thru, order your food, pick it up at the next window, and drive off. (Not sure why I'm even writing this as it sounds like instructions of how to use a drive thru). But hey, what else can I write.
If you like fast food (aka junk food), now come on admit it, we all do really. That will contribute to you getting obese and having probably a million other diet related illnesses later in life, then pop by a Mcdonalds and order a big mac meal like me.
I can't fault this place though, yes they serve junk food, but it's out fault for ordering it and eating it. Not there's.
Here's to next week's Big mac meal, I may even order a double cheese burger as well.
4 out of 5
If only all junk food tasted...
