Went in there tonight with my daughter and 2 kids. Although I went to CB West and Del Val and lived above Kelly's on Main Street back in the day, I always felt like an uncultured blue-collar country bumpkin (I still do). But tonight, the person that waited on me, my daughter and son was so patient in explaining the flavors if the gelatos, offering samples to my kids, and even recommending coffee for me and my bumpkin @ss. What was amazing, is her genuine patience and devotion to serve and satisfy her customer. Amazing and rare to see anymore. I walked in wearing an old t-shirt and old shorts and sneakers among a crowd of affluent-looking patrons. I did not look like I fit in. But she treated me and my kids with genuine respect. This is why I am writing this. I am actually in an Executive MBA program at Temple, and due to graduate in December. I am not what people perceive me to be. This person behind the counter (young, dark brown hair, Italian or mediterranean-looking woman) zeroed in on every syllable I said among the cacophony of patrons. It made my night and I thoroughly and completely enjoyed the rest of the evening with my kids. I haven't felt this way in a very long time. That experience reignited my passion for Doylestown and I even commented that the town is even better than I imagine 20 years ago. That person behind the counter, whether she knew it not, exemplified exactly and precisely what Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is all about. Really. I even commented to my daughter on the way home that I thought this was the best night of my life. That woman behind the counter deserves a huge raise and much more. Seriously. She is exactly the type of rare person I would want to hire and bend over backwards to develop professionally in my own company. No lie. If you guys knew what was good for your business, you would do well to make sure you do everything to keep her. Simply amazing. Well done, who ever you are. I'm sorry I did not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter living in Doylestown for over twenty years, I have always loved and supported Nonno's, often getting a latte, iced tea, or gelato during countless times in town. Today, I went into Nonno's and sat for not even a full hour to complete an LSAT section (35 minutes), then order an iced tea as a reward, but was unfortunately met with either the owner, co-owner, or manager asking me if i "was going to get anything.." referencing me not ordering anything first. Then, she corrected herself and asked if she could get me anything. I cannot stress enough that I absolutely understand that Nonno's is a small business, one that I am happy to support, but I kindly ask that you treat people with compassion. I know Nonno's seating is for customers only, but I was, in fact, a customer. I left after ordering my iced tea because I did not feel welcome anymore. I am not positive if that was the intention or if the woman working there was genuinely asking if she could get me something, but it did, unfortunately, make me uncomfortable. Every other experience I have had at Nonno's has been wonderful, but to say the least, I am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNonno's Italian Coffee Parlor is the kind of place that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. From the warm, inviting atmosphere to the rich aroma of freshly brewed espresso, every detail feels intentional and comforting.
What truly makes the experience special is the people ā especially Katie. She serves with such kindness and a genuine smile every single morning. Her warmth and attentiveness set the tone for the whole day, and itās clear she cares about every customer she greets. Itās a small thing that makes a big difference.
The espresso is strong and smooth, the pastries are authentically Italian (the cannoli is a must-try!), and the ambiance is cozy without feeling crowded. You can start your morning with a quiet coffee, meet a friend for a mid-afternoon catch-up, or just take a moment to slow down. You can tell there's heart behind everything they do.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for more than just a caffeine fix ā this is a true neighborhood gem. Thank you to Katie and the whole team for making each visit something to...
