Abdo Kabab — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

My family and I have been coming to Abdo Kabab every chance we have while we're in Orlando. We always stop there for lunch or dinner. The shwarmas, gyros, pizza, and mix grill are all delicious! I usually don't like lamb because of the strong smell, but at Abdo Kabab, the lamb taste delicious as they cook it with balanced spices and herbs. I barely notice that there's lamb meat in the gyros or shwarma. My son LOVES their beef pepperoni pizza!! As a muslim myself, it's hard to find a place with Halal meats, such as beef pepperoni. I find that the beef pepperoni here taste much better than regular pepperoni, it's spicy, flavorful and less fatty. Everytime we come here, we tried different items and they all always delicious. This place is always consistent with the flavors, we never have any bad experience. The atmosphere in the dining area are clean, lay back, and inviting. The service are great, they always greeted as we came in. They made the food to order, so it's always fresh. It's an open kitchen concept, so you can actually watch them make your food. I definitely recommend this place for everyone travel to Orlando / Disney...

I got a Gyro wrap whilst visiting from the UK and as a regular diner of kebabs ( what we call gyros back home) back home and whilst on holiday, then I have to say this is right up there and possibly even the best ever gyro I’ve ever had outside of my favourite places back home locally (in Liverpool). The meat was well cooked and rich and well flavoured / seasoned in taste, sliced thick not shaven thin (which helps lots ) and the salad was fresh and added to it. The bread, which is critical to any good kebab, was as previous reviews have mentioned very good well cooked and slightly crispy which means it holds the kebab together well. I added the home made hot sauce to the US white / standard tzatziki as I always like a bit of a kick and expected it to be a classic type of tobasco rather than a chilli sauce which it was but did give that fire it needed (although can’t beat proper tahini and chilli sauce from back home ) which is why overall it would not beat my local kebab house - but as that famous adopted American Austrian says in that movie that used to have a ride here in Universal Florida……I’ll be...

While on a family vacation in Orlando Florida we decided after a few days or resort food we wanted something a little different. We opted for Abdo Kabab due to it being fairly close to where we were staying ( about 2 miles ) and for my hankering for Med Food. I forced my kids to go as they are notoriously picky eaters and we made the trip. We ordered our food and everyone in the party was very satisified, the food was clearly cooked freshly and everything was tasty and somewhat reasonably priced. You can tell the food is good as my picky eater kids even enjoyed it. The food was so good that the next day when we were having a "Stay at the resort all day" day, I ordered online , went and picked it up and snuck it back in the resort to the poolside Cabana we were in !!!

My only gripe is I wish they had their own online ordering, vs offering Doordash and then having Doordash mark up their food pricing. But a minor gripe and if we had more time I would have just ordered it in...
