I went by this place on Saturday because I keep seeing it on January 6th the day after my birthday to get an idea of the food and the atmosphere. The gentleman as the host told me that if I come there for every adult meal you purchase you can get a free kids meal for here or to go any day. I came today to order meals to go on Tuesday and I was rudely spoken to by Sarah which she claim she was the manager. I was told that I would have to dine in order to get the free meals with my adult meals. I was ordering three combination meals and three kids meals because there is a total of six of us. I did not get the kids free meal by a manager by the name of Sarah. I asked why and she said because it has to be dine in and I said nowhere on your advertisement does it say dining only for the meals nor did the gentleman that I spoke with last week tell me that I had to dine in. The person that told me that was there but he then changed and claimed that he didn't say it that is posted so I tried to ask them to show me but to no avail were they able to. Even here on their Facebook it doesn't say that it's like a bait and switch. I explained to her as a matter of fact he told me that I get the meals whether I stay or go as well as they would give me military discount. I asked her for the information for the corporate office or manager and she refused to give me the owners information and name and refused to give me the phone number to the location. She was Rude, nasty and I did get a chance to sample the beans which they were horrible salty and bland. Sarah could not be an employee working in any of my facilities with her disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. You can't advertise free kids meal with an adult purchase but don't have it advertised anywhere that it has to be dine in. Sarah I wonder if the manager knows about your rude behavior. I also taste the beans and I wasn't that impressed. I would not recommend this place with a type of treatment and bathing switch to no one. I also gave the gentleman my phone number for the owner or manager to call me it's been over a week and no...
Read moreCame here a couple weeks ago whilst on vacation from the UK, we were looking forward to going and trying something new as the menu looked really good! When we arrived myself and my partner were brought to our table and had no problems. However, from the time we sat down, looked at the menu and spent time deciding what we were having, we still hadn’t been seen too and noticed the waitresses going back and fourth to the other tables. We patiently waited for ages for someone to come over and to at least take our drink order, but no one did. If it was busy, we would understand the delay, but there were only 3 tables with people on. One table had finished their food and we're finishing their drink. The second table had food bought out to them (we had been there 15 mins by that point). And the final table was a family, where the waitress was talking to them the whole time we were at the restaurant.
However, we were still patient and didn’t make a fuss, but it then began to get unbearable sitting there whilst the staff acknowledged everyone else but us. When one of the waitresses went to go stand near the door - waiting to greet people in, I thought it would be a good opportunity to grab her attention whilst she clearly wasn’t ‘busy’. When I did get her attention she saw me and looked away as if she didn’t see me. We were made to feel unwelcome and isolated.
Just over half an hour, we got up and they watched us leave; they didn’t even have the curtesy to ask if we were okay or say anything to us on our way out.
We were shocked at the poor level of service, especially because of the reviews we had seen online. Every restaurant we visited in Florida had really good service and we never felt discriminated; where as Brother Jimmys BBQ we did. If I could give this place 0...
Read moreI came here with my one year old daughter and ordered the ribs and pulled pork combo. The Mac and cheese wasn’t hot, the collard greens were pretty good but the dry ribs were exactly that, dry and tough. The ribs were like eating jerky so tough that I literally almost choked to death. I was in the game room area of the restaurant choking and yelling help! I was throwing up water because I couldn’t wash the food down I thought I was going to die! Luckily one of the cooks saw see and got help but everyone just stared at me! No one even tried the Heimlich Maneuver. I figured if I don’t get this out I’m going to die so I rushed to the bathroom and put my finger in my mouth to throw up the food and it worked thank god! As I went back to the table I tried to drink some more water to wash whatever was left of the food down but again I started to choke so I had to run back to the bathroom to make myself throw up. I cleaned myself up. No one asked me if I needed medical attention the manager DK was busy on the phone pulling around a mop trying to clean up the mess I made. I left and continued to throw up in the parking lot and even when I got home. I had to go to the ER later that night where I had an endoscopy done to get the remaining food out. This was a traumatic experience to say the least. Come to find out that the Manager DK tried to make the bartender pay for my meal saying that just because I don’t know how to eat food it shouldn’t be free. This is supposed to be a Christian establishment and I almost died in front of my daughter and that what you say?!!? Not really the Christian values when you think money is more important than your customers well being.I’ll never step foot in that...
