Denny's — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

The only reason service got two stars is because management did the right thing is took down the bill by over half. That being said this was the worst service I’ve ever received. Our server had all theme park workers and friends of theme park workers. We had four tables total and for our one table to get drinks it took over 30 minutes and then to receive the drink it took over an hour and even then my friend grabbed the drinks because the server didn’t until 20 minutes after. My friend also got yelled at for doing the servers job when she was no where to be found. The place was empty with four tables full, two servers, a manager, and one cook, but it took an hour and 20 minutes to receive drinks alone. After ordering food, we waited 1 hr and 7 minutes for food to arrive cold to the table and several items missing. Also, some of the food items were cooked incorrectly. What does the server do? She defends the whole staff saying it’s no one’s fault and that all the items were being waited on. As for atmosphere goes it is getting 1 star because while waiting for simply four to go boxes (as I don’t like to waste food and can just heat it up the next day) we waited a while only to see the server venting about us. This was supposedly her first day on the job according to staff but according to her she has been working for a month and has been in Florida for a month. The server was also condescending and rude when talking to us which made us uncomfortable. The service was truly pathetic. Don’t come here unless you want subpar service at best and average subpar food at best. We will not...

My husband, children and I surprising our kids to a trip to SeaWorld and decided to stop at the Denny’s for breakfast beforehand. We thought it was a great idea given that it was so close.

When we arrived the greeter was sweet and sat us down immediately. We were seated at the table section toward the right side of the Denny’s. We were happy that we were the only ones there because we would get served quickly and with 2 hungry kids trust me when I say that was a good thing.

Then we saw other families being seated in the other tables around us. We saw the waitress attend the elderly couple. I didn’t mind because they were elderly and out of respect they should be attended to prior to us. Then I saw the waitress look right at me and then at the table with a party of 10+ who were just seated and decided to go to attend them and not us even though we were waiting for past 15 minutes now. Then the other waitresses there were doing the same thing.

In all my years I have never experience such incompetent service. So I calmly spoke with the manager about it.

She was sweet but I will be honest, I did not feel that she took my concerns all that serious. So we left and opted for a McDonalds Breakfast. Because I would rather buy cheap food and have better service than to buy expensive food and...

This review isn't really about the food... its Denny's. I want to talk about the exceptional peopel who work here in the middle of the night. I came to this Denny's around 0250 (I work night shift) and was honestly surprised by the service and quality. The staff were incredibly attentive, but more than that they cared. They cared about eachother, they cared about the food they were serving. Their teamwork was something to be admired. Many times while I sat at the hightop I heard servers and cooks telling eachother "good job". Another team member was leaving for the night and the rest of the staff told him to have a good night and said they loved him. I over heard a conversation where the staff talked about a new team member and how they appreciated her work ethic. Honestly, I'd come back here just to support the incredibly hardworking and caring staff. These people did not stop working for one second. They were feverishly fulfilling togo orders and preping the restaurant for the morning shift. All while maintaining the customers in the dining room.The overnight staff at this restaurant should be incredibly proud of the service they provide and the teamwork they have established.
