We used the mobile order and pay on the app to order a sandwich and two cookies. With the coupon, the whole order came to just $2. After placing the order, we drove to pick it up with the receipt and order number on the app. We were told by an employee that they could not find the order in their system and pulled out of drivethru into a parking spot.
Thinking we made an error with the address, we checked over the whole order and confirmed we were at the right store. Everything checked out. So we went inside and explained to the cashier what had happened in drivethru and that the computer system couldn't find our order. But we had it right in our hands, ordered just 10-15 minutes before we arrived. The cashier said it was no problem and that he would submit an order at no additional charge to us. We were happy to see that they were providing great customer service for us despite a malfunction in their computers.
That was until the manager came over and told us she would not be fulfilling our order. She told us that if we didn't check in at their store, that they could not make the order for us and that she couldn't just give us "free food". We calmly explained that we did submit our order and showed her the order code, the receipt with each item on it, and a 'need help?' code that the employees are supposed to punch in to find out what went wrong. All she could say was "Nope, sorry. There's nothing I can do". She refused to help us in any way and said that if she didn't have the order in the computer that she couldn't give us food.. unless we paid again. At this point we were irate. She refused to help us in any way unless we paid money in the store.
Do not go to this Central FL Pkwy location. The manager does not care about the customers or their needs. Despite living under 5 minutes away, we will never be returning to this store until new management is in place. I once went here and ordered extra pickles on a cheese burger, which it's easy to taste the difference between regular pickles and extra. Every other McDonalds in the area gives at least four. This location gives two if you ask for extra, yet you can ask for none, less, or more. Presumably less is one and more is (at least) three because the default is two.
I once ordered at the drive thru and it took the team member 5 attempts to get the order right (artisan chicken sandwich with a medium soda). It wasn't that I was unclear, it was an entirely different order each time. I proceeded to pull through to pay and the team member had given me the wrong price at the speaker. I pulled forward to pickup my meal and was instructed to park in spot #3. After 10 minutes a team member came out and said they forgot what I had ordered. After another five minutes waiting I went in to ask for a manager and their response was "I knew you'd ask for me." Not the service (let alone the bluntness) that was expected.
On at least five occasions I've gone to this location after midnight and spent over 20 minutes stuck in the drive thru waiting for my order. Various orders too... Cheeseburgers, nuggets, frosties, and smoothies used to be my midnight binge until I determined that I have better things to do with my time than wait in a fast food drive thru lane.
My advice: pick another location. A fresh coat of paint can't...
Read moreI was at the drive thru menu board reviewing what everyone wanted to further place my order for 5 ppl in the car. As soon as I placed my first part the order taker says" That's it". Mind you they heard me asking what would everyone like in my car. I waited 25 mins before paying with 2 cars in front of me that had to pay. 3 cars ahead a customer was having a problem with their order. When I get up to receive mines I was told that's it and yet I didn't receive all of my order. I was handed a Cheeseburger that was with no American Cheese on the grill slip. I correct the young lady and tell her I ordered mines plain, she then says "so you want cheese?" Duhhh!!! I asked for a plain cheeseburger. I was handed 2 plain sundae cups that were half melted, one of the cups were dirty on the outside so I asked her to remake it. She about refused trying to just clean it off. She again tell me she is finished and I have my complete order. I also had to remind her that I have an Oreo McFlurry and an icecream cone on my order. She tells me they have no cones so I agree to take a cup to replace the "NO CONES" as the young woman is about to give it to me the shift manager is stocking the cones. I then tell her I want it in a cone since you have them. She about refused saying that there was no cones, but I clearly see them. The shift manager comes up to the window with an attitude. So I then clearly let them know that they have TERRIBLE SERVICE in this location. We were in the Drive-thru for 45 mins with a total of 5 cars ahead of me. 3 cars pulled off during my wait before I payed...
