Nothing Bundt cakes Has been my only choice for all my special occasions and events that I have hosted or attended for the past. I ordered a two tiered cake on 07/20/22 for pick up on 07/23/22. On the day of pick up I arrived to the bakery and was completely humiliated by the manager. The cake was brought to me in TWO separate boxes one stacked on top of the other. I immediately questioned if this was the cake that I ordered because I purchased the two tier option. The manager began to explain that since I did not opt in to purchase a DECORATION for the cake I had two pay 2.00 Dollars if I wanted them stacked on top of one another and it would take time for her to bring it out to me. I questioned her why wasnât I told this upon purchasing the cake and she was extremely confrontational and argumentative . She then proceeded to Reiterate her self in front of a bakery full of other consumers that it was policy and if I wanted to have it packaged properly it would be 2.00 dollars. What an embarrassing moment that was for me. I purchased the 66.00 dollar tiered cake upon ordering. What was the reason for The humiliation over a small and inadequate fee? It was a clear mistake on the other attendants behalf which that had failed to let me know âstore policyâ . How was the manager correctly rectifying the situation? Yes I know it was by over looking the employees mistake by not solving the issue properly. Also the lady that originally helped me at the counter saw another customer behind me and took care of her before taking care of me. My daughter and I ordered a cake for a gentleman that stated he was cleaning our carpet on his anniversary. We immediately made an order and drove to this location. Being that this was our first curbside experience we were unsure of their protocol. I called and the lady that answered was RUDE. Totally uncalled for and quite unprofessional. I politely stated that I had made an order to which she replied we'll get it out to you at 9:30. I was shocked due to her rudeness. Ive had the younger kids not look interested in helping but never received or experienced such service. I waited and seriously contemplated canceling and requesting a refund to take my business elsewhere. A young man came out to deliver to another customer at which point I expressed the call. He stated he would check on it and stated he was told it would be about 5 minutes. Shortly after a lady in glasses came out and handed the cake but not without being rude to make a point that employees arrive at 9 and thats why 9:30 is the time for the first pick up. By the time we were helped, what we wanted was bought out. Instead of finding a solution we were told itâs âfirst come, first servedâ (which we were there first) and that we shouldâve ordered online then. When we found a solution, she got increasingly frustrated and began to raise her voice at us repeating that we shouldnât have waited until day of to come in and get what we wanted. When we asked for the manager to assist she told us they would just give the same answer. The manager proceeded to reiterate everything the assistant manager did after we explained the situation, even comparing their âfirst come, first servedâ policy to a busy Walmart where people fight for items (again, thatâs not what even occurred).
