I bought a Groupon and I went with a friend of mine as a fun thing to do. We thought that it would be awesome to have some professionals doing our makeup and get some nice professional pictures taken. We didn't expect too much since we did go using a groupon, but we left with a really bad taste in our mouths.
The makeup artists were super friendly, but neither one of us liked our makeup. We both felt that we could have done a better job ourselves. My friend felt like after she had her hair done, she looked like Shirley Temple and once the curls relaxed, she looked like a French Courtesan. We were supposed to go to dinner afterward, but neither one of us wanted to go, because we both felt like our makeup looked awful and we didn't want to be seen in public. Before we went, we were excited about going out, because we both thought that we would have a "made over look".
The photographer was super friendly, and he took some great shots of both of us, but we only liked the pictures after they were retouched and the color was adjusted. I feel like if our makeup was better, they wouldn't have needed so much retouching. When it came time to pay for the pictures, they charged us an extra $47.00 each that should have been included in the cost of the groupon. The picture we each bought ended up costing more than the groupon itself and the groupon was supposed to include the picture with retouches.
We both left feeling like we had been scammed, and I would never go back. I certainly don't mind spending a lot on nice pictures, but I do want to feel like what I'm getting is worth the money. I also want to be very aware of what everything is going to cost me up front. I felt like there were a couple of not so nice surprises at the end of our visit. It was nice to spend the day with my friend, but we could have gone to a makeup up counter and gotten our makeup done amazingly for free and then we could have had our own instagram photo shoot. If I were fifteen again, I might have loved this, but I'm way too old for bllsht.
When it was time to pay, we were also told that we couldn't use two groupons, but my friend made sure to say that we both had groupons when we booked the appointment. They let us use them after upcharging us....
Read moreWent out for dinner and decided to go to the Korean restaurant called Babbi Babbi for something different. We were treated immediately, told we could take a menu and chose our seats in the dining room and someone would be right with us. The place is well lot with socially distanced tables, a large screen showing Korean music videos and low music in the background. The menu had a nice selection of appetizers and entrees, with the specially being Bibimbap. We both chose the hot stone bowl version, my husband had the bulgogi bed and I had the spicy pork as our proteins. We ordered it with all the options (all the way), and we were offered either miso or seaweed soup. We both chose the seaweed soup and it was delicious. It came with several side dishes including kimchee, picked radish, cabbage salad and more. The bowls arrived quickly, and were full of meat and veggies. We were given a sweet and spicy sauce to mix in with the veggies and meat. The food was just fabulous, fresh, hot and tasty. The waitress was very pleasant and when we were done, we were given a yogurt drink which was light and citrusy.
Everything was really nicely done, we look forward to...

There is a very wide variety of stores, restaurants and even health related businesses. First of all, it has the only Whole Foods in the area, competing very well with the 2 Publix in neighboring shopping plazas. There is also Anthony's Coal fired pizza, Pei Wei, the all famous Five Guys, Seito Sushi, sub restaurants, even gluten free and vegetarian options. On the healthcare side you can go to the dentist and chiropractor and even get massages. Michael's is also here for the arts and crafts needs. The one downfall of its location, which is also a plus, is the fact that it is fleets away from I-4, and in the intersection of Turkey Lake and Sand Lake roads, which is one of the most dangerous and congested intersections in the city and probable the state. It's still a great shopping plaza with great options of...
