I came into town for my friends chemo treatment and asked her where she wanted to go to dinner as her birthday just passed. She picked Outback. We came to this location and it was about a 20 minute wait to get seating outside. When we got the text message, the hostess tried seating us inside but we politely reminded her that we requested to be outside. She sat is a back table and did not inform a waitress or waiter that she had sat us. A table behind us had left, a bidder cleared off the table but whomever was assigned to that section, never came. After waiting 15 minutes, we got their attention inside and a waitress from another section assisted us and informed us that the hostess informed her that we had only been waiting 3 minutes. Knowing that it was not our waitress fault and because we were hungry, we decided to stay. We placed our appetizers and entrees at the same time. It took 20 minutes for our appetizers to come out and the blooming onion was at most….warm. After waiting another 40 minutes, we asked our waitresses to cancel our entrees.. She said she would speak to the manager and our food was brought out. I explained to him that I work for a concessions company that manages several food concepts and that after waiting an hour, we simply no longer wanted to eat. He expressed that the food would’ve just been thrown out but he could pack it up to go if we still wanted it. We agreed. It was at this point that someone had locked the door to the outside patio. She had to bang on the door each time she came to our table and expressed that she didn’t know why they would do that knowing she was out there. Thankfully they did not charge us for the entrees because I cut open the steak and it was at best cooked medium when I requested medium well. It was also missing the peppercorn sauce and mushrooms on top. Our waitress was super apologetic and I hope that people remember who to place blame on. We tipped her accordingly. I do feel however that the hostess purposely sat us where she did so that we would not have a pleasant experience. Had it just been a lack of communication, I could assume that maybe she was new. The misinformation she provided to a server that had a different section was intentional. Do better outback. You never know what people are going though and the moments that we have left together. We would rather cherish them than to experience intentional neglect for no reason.

I was excited cause this was gonna be my casual dinner for the night before my bday aside from that ordering was fine , waited an hour or more for just the two entrees we ordered including veggies fries and 2 steak . The place wasnt busy or rush! Ive worked F&B industry before and couldnt believe the customer service of two waitresses , one serving me and a random which did not even reply to a little girl standing right in front of her asking where the bathroom is . Mine being a waitress as well as kitchens fault ..finally receiving our food i taste my asparagus, it was HORRIBLE . dry, and sour taste. Couldn’t eat any of it, had to be old. On top of that both steaks , one SUPPOSED to be medium well and the other well done . The “well done” literally was medium rare and the “medium well” was not the cooked with slight pink center still bloody . So after having to request a substitute for the asparagus to mashed potatoes, I myself even had felt bad for the waitress cause anything that was kitchens fault you feel the pressure on you . She did not handle it well. My husband apologized to her for also having to bare bad news about his steak and she just said “its ok” so dry and took a plate to just place it on there and take it …so in my head im like uhh you should also be apologizing on behalf of the food being not what we requested. And so mine was needed to be a bit more cooked but i didnt even ask because how she reacts and responds to the situation . After finishing our food in not such a great mood , such small portions and not good quality , then waiting so long to be able to ASK for a check we went to the host requesting it because our waitress barely even checked on us either . Not even gonna say her name because im not trying to ruin her job security. At check out i see the bill and decided not to leave tip on card , i was going to do cash . I request the customer receipt and she sees hers saying “wow thanks for the tip” so then we just say your welcome cause wow couldnt even hand her a tip at the end of the day . Currently I am on hold as I type, and it has been 9 mins now. I placed my call @10:20pm and no one has even come to see if I'm still holding. My husband and I were having our Date Night and decided to order takeout - I really look forward to this night. We ordered in the app from my parking lot where I work and drove to pick up our meal.approx 20 mins later, checked in and was told our order was not ready. Ok no problem, I went to another restaurant ordered food, waited for my food and came back & my Outback order still wasn't ready. Checked in a 2nd time and was told another 10 mins, no problem. I waited outside at curb, 10 mins later I go back inside - order still isn't ready. I asked to speak to a manager and a tall African American gentleman came out, listened and checked on my order and it eventually came without my ranch dressing and he also addressed that. I'm home now and my husband's wings were too spicy and I could smell the pepper, we asked for mild. We also asked for a baked sweet potato with all the fixins, honey butter , brown sugar and cinnamon and we only got butter. We have eaten at Outback before and had mild wings these had a little more spice than usual. So ultimately tonight i held for a total of 16 mins and the manager never came to phone and it was hung up. I called back and finally got to talk to an Ernie or Ernest finally and told him how upset I was. I would have opted to not post this review but once he said I could get a refund but it would take 7 days, for a transaction that took less than 7 minutes, that was the last straw. I am sooo upset right now I have lost my appetite. I REALLY desire a call from someone next week and I want an apology! A customer should NEVER be hung up on.
