I've been a coustumer for almost 15 years and I'm very disappointed on how the service and level of professionalism has declined. We would come in and celebrate our wedding anniversary, birthdays, or just a simple day or a quick pick up, we have even ordered with a delivery service, because the food and treatment was great everything single time.

We have waited even for a table before it was renovated and expanded and several very busy days but we didn't mind cause we knew we would be treated like family. This has changed in a tremendous large scale! We came in yesterday after a long day, we are offered water before ordering from the menu there was another couple besides us only and it was around 6pm.

We placed our order of 4 empanadas, a Patacón and Arepa. The server a younger guy brought everything together. The Arepa was crumbleling my husband opted to eat it with utensils and the beans were cold, my Patacón had old lettuce you'll see in the picture.

We finished the Empanadas and no one ever came to check on us, nor take the plate away and offer more water or anything. My husband said: "The guy left". I said: "I'm sure he forgot to say goodbye that his shift ended and someone else will be here any minute to help". I was so wrong!!!

I couldn't finish without any liquid we had to stretch one glass the same first glass of water thought the whole meal. There was a the bar tender and like 3 more couples came in, I asked her could we have some more water and she ignored me and said: "Yes, yes" with a hand gesture. Sat another couple and went to the bar to ser the other coustumer their alcohol. I was completely ignored.

I decided to go to the entrance and ask for someone to acknowledge me from the kitchen. There were 2 guys and a girl hiding in the back but no one came. I said out loud can I have water?! And the bar tender walked quickly got water fro the back and brought it to the table saying "You want your check?"!! Wow!!!! I proceeded to tell her: "That I was and old coustumer for an X amount of years and the service has gone down we I was very disappointed and it was unacceptable.

Suddenly the guy came back maybe from his break I don't know. I went to wash my hands and the check was on the table.

Note to the owner: "You have treated me before and always treated us with loving care in a professional and the older server is great at his job. Your younger generation employees will bring you to a ruin, they must learn how much coustumer service is as important as looking pretty and working on a nice place.

The ambiance was fantastic, and I'm sure it gets lively at night. I visited on a Thursday around 6 p.m. The server seemed a bit slow in getting drinks, even on a video call when putting in the order. We ordered a variety of appetizers like empanadas, yuca, and pork belly, and the portions were generous. However, the main course was mediocre; the meat was overcooked and tough, and the burger, ordered medium, arrived well done. The chicken was dry, and the fries were standard food service Cheney Brothers instead of hand-cut, which was unexpected for a fine dining establishment. The sangria lacked flavor and seemed diluted. We had to request refills as the server was preoccupied with TikTok and didn't notice our empty glasses. It's unclear if the server is new or if the restaurant itself is inexperienced, but there is definitely room for improvement. Had to wait to get check after boxing food server was on phone and rolling silverware. As she was walking away had Bluetooth headset in and proceeded with conversation was not sociable at all. As someone who has worked fine dining both front and back of the house I was not impressed. Maybe it's because I just came from aquatica and spent the day in the water and look like I washed up that she thought that I was a horrible tipper that deserved bad service or something I'm not sure. When I was a server I was about the dining experience and the service that I'm providing to give the establishment that I'm working at a good name and to build rapport with my customers of course making a generous tip at the same time. In my early years of serving someone mentioned to me do you know what a tip is and I said yes ma'am and she said no do you know what it stands for. In my early years I learned that a tip means to ensure proper service. Not only did she add gratuity on the check we tipped on top of it. Hope her day gets better and that she truly does offer...

I’ve been coming here since 2012, every time i visit Orlando I drop by. The food is delicious and fresh. However, I visited twice this weekend and my experience was very different. I visited on Saturday and was seated and asked to wait 15 minutes for the waiter to take my order. However, we were forgotten. After an hour we finally decided to go get someone from inside. The food was excellent and the waitress was very apologetic. We liked the food so much we decided to give it another try today. It was a lot let busy so we figured we would be served quicker. Well we were disappointed again as we waited 20 minutes while the waiters were listening to the live music and standing by the counter. Everyone passed by us and didn’t even ask if we were being attended to. Finally my husband called the attention of one of the waiters who was also apologetic and quickly helped us. Then, an older woman who seemed to be the manager came to check on our table after we commented to the waiter how bad our experience was. Her apology was a bit unprofessional, she blamed the fact that there was a shift change and that she went on break after she sat us down. She also made a comment that she had offered us a bigger table and we decided to go with a smaller one and then we added another smaller one. That had nothing to do with our issue, we didn’t mind adding another table to have enough space for our food. I felt like she didn’t really mean to apologize. I was very disappointed in the management and After almost 10 years coming to Q’Kenan i will not...

If this is what Venezuelan food tastes like, I love it!! To a novice in this cuisine, Q'Kenan introduced me to their warm hospitality with helpful staff ready to introduce and explain their menu and what I ordered. They had loads of photo frames on one side of the wall and the staff told me that it was a family business with the owner and relatives in the pictures, as well as other famous people who visited the restaurant. One cam indicated feel the family touch on this small but warm business. The beef empanada is golden brown, looks dry, but is actually crisp and moist inside. The shredded beef filling was generous. The beef arepa came with a good amount of beef cut into cubes and the arepa was thin, crispy and tastes really good. These two dishes were good in themselves but with the two sauces available, it was superb! There is a mayonnaise and chives sauce and a chili and garlic sauce, I wish I could get them in bottles to take home! Lastly the Pabelon Criollo is a shredded beef, rice, plantain, and black beans dish. Again, mix this up and add the sauce, beautiful! A healthy a filling meal.

Delicious, slightly sweet, Venezuelan Cachapas (amazing with the homemade cheese), and arepas (the pernil is "to die for"). The cilantro salsa verde & the picante salsa were on point, as was the salad garnish provided to compliment the arepas (loved those pickled onions!). The Parrilla Mixta (mixed grill) was a bit dry, but the fried yucca & French fries were amazingly crisp with a delicious coating. The rice and beans served with the Pabellon Criollo, were at their peak of freshness; not overcooked or mushy. The menus were a tad hard to read for those of us without 20 year-old eyes (small grey print on a black page), and not very well designed for non-Spanish speakers not familiar with Venezuelan cuisine, but the servers were very helpful in sorting out the options, and VERY attentive & friendly. The prices were so reasonable that we happily did a "sampling menu," and due to the generous portions, we ended up bringing home the next day's lunch. It's a fairly small, family operated, strip mall spot, that I can't wait to go back to.
