We first came upon Mattress Warehouse in South Jordan (the district) about 10 years ago. We bought a queen sized bed and warrenty covering for $1k. Three years ago we felt this mattress was not holding up to what should be expected from a mattress only seven years old. The standard was ten years for a mattress should hold up. When this Mattress Warehouse location would not stand behind this sale / warrenty, we went to Murray and to Draper Mattress Warehouse locations looking for a different bed under the same company name
We purchased a Temperpedic Cloud with an adjustable base. This was supposed to be a trade-in credit toward the new mattress. We left with a zero percent loan to cover the 5k plus mattress, base and accessories. It’s been three years and both of us have felt terribly achy upon awakening. The Temperpedic Cloud feels like we are sleeping on a rock. It sage over the sides like the stuffing inside the mattress is no longer where it should be. We have kept the protective covering so the warrenty would not be voided. We have also rotated this every month on the 25th when we pay our monthly bills.
At first I told my spouse we need to take this “Temperpedic set up” to the dump because it was killing me. I then remembered that it was covered by a ten year warrenty. So I called the store where it was purchased. The Draper employee asked me to send him pictures. The reply I received from this employee was they “couldn’t see any thing wrong with the mattress”. I want to welcome this employee and any other Mattress Warehouse employee to come and TRY to sleep ONE night on this mattress! The first mattress was 1k. The Temperpedic cost an additional 5k (plus). I say plus because I do not recall the exact amount. We bought two pillows ($200.00) protective warrenty covering ($100.00 +) and two sets of ivory sheets (200.00). A total of at least an additional $500.00 spent in accessories, 2k for the mattress and 3k for the adjustable base that was either a floor model or a return from a disgruntled customer. I am embarrassed that I walked out buying all this stuff in addition to a very expensive mattress!
Warning: If you have not worked with this business go buy your mattress somewhere else! The reviews on this site appear fake. Retail sales has become much like how car salesmen do business. The games retail employees play with changing prices. We are too tired from lack of restful sleep to play these games!
In closing this review, I would like to say that they must not make beds like they once did. My parents bought a full-sized mattress when they got married in the late 50’s. After my mother died from cancer at 32 years of age, my father gave their bed to me. I slept on it soundly through four years of high school, four years of undergraduate school, two years of graduate school and eight years into my professional career. By the time I decided to get rid of this bed for something new, this bed was 30 years old. The wires in the box springs were poking through the fabric covering and the internal guts of the mattress had started to clump! Even with the evident signs of an impending bed death, I never felt the aches and pains that I have felt on sleeping on this...
Read moreWe had a very bad experience here. If I would write this zero stars I could. We had Veronica help us and you can tell that she only wanted to make a sale. She said that the bed that we boughtHad to be picked up at a different location by 6 o’clock. We could not make the 6 o’clock at all but she said it was no big deal at all and that they were more than willing to wait for us. She also said that she would call and tell them that we will be there between six and 630 and that we were going to be a few minutes late. Not only that but she also said that if we could not find a truck to pick up the bed that the other location had a rope and they were willing to give it to us to strap down to the top of the car. By the time my husband got there there was no one there, the bed was not ready, nor did she even bother to call at all. And not only that but this other location so that they have never given anyone rope of any sort to help them tie down a mattress to their car. She straight up lied to my face.My daughter just had surgery and did not have a bed and needed one that night. The people at the other location said that They have had multiple problems like this with her before and has caused multiple people different problems. The manager ended up coming in from his house after he already left to help us. It was a horrible experience and thanks to Veronica we will not be going back there nor will we be referring people to that store. She was not busy and there was no one in that store the whole time we were there so it’s not like she got so busy that she forgot… She just blatantly...
Read moreI've never bought my own mattress before and sadly the one I had got ruined in a flood. I stopped by Matteess Warehouse actually on my way to Ikea because I saw a mattress sale out front.
When I walked in I was immediately greeted by a guy who was at a desk making another sale. My boyfriend and I were looking around and thinking that maybe it was too expensive when the guy who greeted us walked up and striked a conversation. He was the manager and his name was Micheal Klenk and he was awesome! I told him my budget was around $500 and he showed me some great floor models that were right at my budget and were exactly what I was looking for. I was nervous that he would try to oversell me and attempt to talk me into buying a mattress that a starving college student couldn't afford but he completely respected my budget without making me feel demeaned at all.
Micheal offered great conversation and was completely charismatic. I'm thrilled with my purchase and I'm excited to finally have a bed to sleep in tonight. He even gave us bags and tape to make sure the mattress made it hope safely.
If I were you I would stop by and give Micheal a visit, he will make sure you...
