We are frequent customer of Citizen 33, and were treated very poorly. We called before hand asking if seating 15 people would be possible and we were told if we arrived by 6:30pm it would be likely. We arrived on time and put our names in and were told there was a 45 minute wait (so far so good). We waited 45 minutes (right outside the restaurant) and at that time we asked if the table was close, and the hostess told us “we can’t feed you tonight.” One person from our party politely went in and stated that we had been waiting for 45 minutes and they never told us that they couldn’t seat us as we waited 45 minutes. The hostess then told our party member that she had called us. Our Party member showed on her phone the call was not received, and the hostess responded with “well I did.” With zero apology or explanation. (Great customer service to frequent customers). Our party member asked if there was anything they could do and pointed out there were some empty tables. The hostess said “sorry they are on the wait list.” At this point frustrated our party member responded “we were on the wait list for 45 and waited directly out your door.” It was very clear to everyone that the hostess could have simply said “party of 15” as our LARGE party was very clearly waiting right outside. The hostess continued with apathetic responses. We are very disappointed as we used to love this restaurant, however, they will now be losing our...
Read moreFirst off let me say I have never left a review before. Second, I would add that I have worked in the sevice industry for years and totally understand the stress and demand of the job. The food was good, on the better end for brewery food and the beer was flavorful and interesting. Reason for the 2 stars was that our server dropped our table's tray of beers in my lap. I was completely soaked to the point where I had to be taken home to change. I literally poured beer out of my shoes and left the resturant barefoot. I do get it, every server has dropped drinks before. But what comes next is crucial. When I returned 20 minutes or more later, our apps were not even served and my husband, grandfather and friend were just waiting for us to get back. Rest of the meal was fine, as I said food was good. We then got our bill and when our server handed it to my husband she apologized and said she took 50% off, which i thought was fair and even generous. Turns out she only took 50% off my 1 entree, so my 20 dollar veggie burger/salad was $10. We even paid for the drinks that landed in my lap. The $10 probably did not even cover the gas it took to drive home and back. I didn't say anything at the time because I was just so suprised but now I'm sitting here looking at my soaked clothes and shoes and am just still so bothered and shocked. We live in the valley and probably would not...
Read moreI really wish we had this place back home. It’s our family’s new favorite restaurant anywhere. The food is extraordinary. My 12 yo daughter got the big kids chicken tenders which was enough tenders and fries to feed 2 adults and she substituted their secret honey mustard for the chipotle bbq sauce. It was amazing. I don’t really like chicken tenders or honey mustard, but the honey mustard was so good I couldn’t stop eating it. They have 33 different sauces you can dip things in. We got a flight of 3 sauces(Gorgonzola creme, beer cheese and their special ranch) to dip our fries in and they were great. We also got their smashed burgers which were thicker thank you’d expect and they were delicious. We liked it so much, we went back the next night and ordered a tray of fries and a flight of 6 different dipping sauces. The miso truffle fry sauce or the garlic aioli were the best. We also had a ribeye which was so flavorful with the au jus with veggies and potatoes. I had four different beers during our visits and they were all great. Truly one of the coolest and unique business models I’ve ever seen. Hats off to the whole team. My kids want to vacation in this area again just so they can come back...
