Our company makes $90k per year of purchases from HD on average accordingly to our accounts Div. The DS store is one of the worse stocked stores seemingly purposely stocking in a way that manipulates your purchase to have to buy more fitting and accessories especially for plumbing and electrical than you would if they just stocked the correct options. Their response is ALWAYS the Bee Caves store has it. Well we’re not in bee caves out here now are we. This HD was once out of shovels while stocking xmas trees in October. Wow- guess what, they had shovels in bee caves. Second is the propensity of their staff stocking and doing other should be night time activities during peak store hours - they are ALWAYS in the way shutting down isle and running forklifts as if these clowns are running a DC rather than a retail outlet. Third is the customer service- try asking for help and you’ll find it’s viewed as a major imposition as well- they’re busy doing other things or they just plain don’t know anything about anything. A final straw we went to purchase t-bar wire clips which is essentially a 3” long piece of 12g wire pre bent to go around t posts. Most stores just give these away. The bags were ringing up for a penny a piece. We had 80 bags so we asked for help to enter 80 so we didn’t have to scan all of them. In the middle of scanning HD said there’s no way these were a penny and then took the bags away from us and lied to us stating that there way a safety recall on the bags of pre bent wire refusing to sell them to us. With men in the field we left empty handed and went to Tractor Supply- where without prompting they handed us a bag of 1000 clips FOR FREE. We’ve since checked back at the HD and found the so called recalled bags of clips sitting on the shelf this time with a price equating to a whopping $160 for 1000 clips. What a bunch of lying and cheats.
So we are in the process of changing our corporate partners to Tractor Supply and Lowes. We’ve averaged $90k per year over the last 11 years with HD. And this DS location killed the deal in one dishonest spiteful 2 minute episode over some worthless wire clips which should of been honored on pricing where most ag and fencing places just hand them out. Karma. It’s coming. And it usually hurts. ...
Read moreI purchased a Dishwasher at the Home Depot location from Bart. He was very helpful as I needed a dishwasher because mine was broken. He didn’t have the one he recommended in stock, as I had taken the day off from work to fix the dishwasher in my house. Delivery of the new one was a week away. Bart told me the display model was just as good as the new one that would be delivered. May I add that no discount was given on the Bosh display model. He said if anything was wrong with the Bosh dishwasher, I could bring it back, as I had lived in this area for over 10 years and had made many purchases at this Home Depot, and I had no reason to doubt him.
I purchased the display dishwasher, took it home, and installed it. A week later, some of the features were not working correctly, so I took another day off work and returned to the same Home Depot. My goal was to exchange it for a new one. They promptly called the Manager, Dan, and Dan told me they could do nothing for me. Dan would not exchange it and told me I should have purchased an extended warranty through them. Bart told me that I have 90 days to acquire that warranty. I told Dan I didn’t mind paying more for an upgraded dishwasher, as I was trying to work something out.
If I had been told by Bart that I had to purchase Home Depot’s warranty or I would throw my $1000.00 away, I would have. Being frustrated I stated to Dan, the Store manager, that I just spent one thousand dollars on a busted Bosh top-of-the-line dishwasher from Home Depot a week ago that they would not stand behind, he just nodded his head in agreement gave me a number to call telling me they will just call me, like ha-ha (it will not do any good).
In summary, I will go out of my way to purchase from Lowe's or elsewhere from now on.
Take it from my experience, buyer beware of these unethical practices from Home...
Read moreLooking online for parts to make a 200A meter loop, the parts I need are never in one store. Often though, the online information is wrong as far as availability in one store. To make sure the parts were in stock....or not, I phone-called HD in Dripping Springs, and whaddya know, I got a real person right away. Rosemary was most helpful trying to run down which stores besides hers had my parts. I had all the model numbers and store numbers for each item I needed. As hard as she tried she was unsuccessful, saying that HD's inter -store inventory knowledge is often dated material and has not been updated to where I could believe what's on their websites. She was more frustrated because try as hard as she could she could not locate any stores that had the stuff I needed and her store in DS didn't have the parts either. She tried and was most helpful - as much as she was able. Then I began shopping on line and found that a store in Austin and a store in New Braunfels together had the parts I needed. I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to spend a whole day getting those parts. So I went to New Braunfels from Blanco and picked up the 200A breaker box that I had ordered for that store. While shopping for other parts I saw the meter can I needed which I was told was only at the Austin store. I bought that meter can and canceled the order at the HD in Bee Cave, saving myself an awful drive to Austin. HD really needs to daily update their inventory when not even the employees can find items requested by customers. Thank you for trying Rosemary. Lucky for me i got what I needed at one store but I had to luck out where Rosemary had to tell me she was...
