We are regular vacationers on OBX. Drove 20 miles from Pirate’s Cove near Manteo for what we thought would be a nice lunch. I don’t normally leave reviews here, but I am compelled. We arrived at lunchtime and it was busy. There did not seem to be any tables. There was no one to greet us, no one on the patio nor the counter to order. A group left a table on the patio so I went out to grab it while my husband and son ordered. A young woman came out and said she had the table I was sitting at for someone else who had ordered, even though they take no reservations. We did not see this party ahead of us, and they sat down with only drinks. She told me we had to order before we could sit down, even though my husband was inside ready to order when someone came to take it. I had to leave the table with everyone on the patio staring at me. I told her we had been waiting at the counter for someone to take our order but no one was present so we did not know. There were no signs anywhere saying to order before seating. On the patio there was a small sign that said order inside, which we were trying to do. So, don’t know about the food as we did not get to eat there. The patio refilled and had we actually gotten our order placed, we would have been standing there with our food and nowhere to sit. Really unreliable system for customers, despite the...
Read moreWe went here the other day for lunch, and now I'm obsessed with their veggie sandwich! The veggie sandwich is very well thought out and all the flavors compliment each other! Everything we have tried so far has been incredible. We had a few shareable plates like the palmetto cheese plate, hummus, and also had their beer cheese with pretzels. Every plate tasted amazing and had great flavor. I also would recommend thier salads with honey mustered dressing. Every time we went, the staff members were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our meal great! The restaurant also has a great seating area on the Sound. Its very nice to seat there and watch the sunset. We went back a few more times before the week was over and will definitely coming back next time I'm in Duck,...
Read moreWent on a recommendation and truly lives up to the hype. I was so excited to see they had orange wine! Often charcuterie, like tapas, can leave you wanting more. The board we ordered was substantial. The product was high quality. My friend and I remarked at the butteriness of the salami and snappiness of the mustard on the board. Everything was delectable. Even the side salads, priced under $4 a piece, were hearty. Be mindful that seating is very limited and it's all first come first serve, additional you have to order and pay at the bar inside. This is well worth your trip. Also of note, there is a single nongendered...
