OVERALL- it was my second visit and food is consistent. Generally, food and service is good. It’s clean. I definitely plan on returning when my family come visit again!
COVID- the inside doesn’t feel crammed. Tables are spaced out well and majority of the tables are all divided and have their own dedicated space. Only the very back had three tables next to each other without dividers which may be nice for big parties.
VIBE- clean inside and has a slight oldie Korean style feel but is modern. It has the old Korean feel because place is decorated with a lot of wood and their kimchi jigae/ stew came in the golden pot.
FOOD- Meat- very yummy. We got the set 1 which is the soy sauce marinated pork belly. Cooked well. Good flavour.
Side dishes- all yummy. They don’t have many side dishes because this is a pork belly/ trotter place. So it’s typical for restaurants like this to have only few side dishes that traditionally come with these types of main entree.
Kimchi jigae- they use aged/sour kimchi which happen to be my favourite type of kimchi jigae. I was impressed with the flavour! It also comes with pork belly in it. My partner doesn’t like this type but he still enjoy it with the meal.
SERVICE- very friendly...
Read moreFinally had a chance to check out Jok Ga A Dong Chim (try saying that 3 times fast).
It's located in Duluth, GA on Satellite Blvd. Pretty much smack dab in the middle of what people like to label as K-Town in GA. I just refer to the area as Pleasant Hill, but to each their own I guess.
Restaurant size, they can fit a decent crowd. Seating options include booths and single tables. Each table has a built in grill.
I ended up ordering the Pig Trotterd and Pork Bossam package. It comes with a side assortment of small kimchi type dishes. Also ordered a side of the steamed egg souffle. They give you big portions here by the way.
I pretty much consider this "drinking" food with how it's setup you definitely want to try pairing it with a beer like Hite or Cass.
The pork is really tender and not too chewy. Salt levels are tolerable. The dipping sauces add to the flavors as well. Overall great place to eat. Definitely recommend it.

Read moreIf you’re into pork dishes, this spot is a must-visit. I ordered the steamed pork belly and the spicy pork trotters, and both were incredible. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Honestly, the steamed pork belly was the best I’ve ever had at a Korean restaurant—perfectly cooked, rich, and just melts in your mouth.
I think if I had gone with the regular pork trotters instead of the spicy version, it might’ve been even better. The spice was good, but it did take away a little from the natural flavor of the trotters. Still, no complaints—it was delicious.
The sides here were next level. All the banchan were fresh and well-seasoned, and the gyeranjjim (steamed egg) was easily the best I’ve had—light, fluffy, and packed with flavor.
Service was great too—friendly, fast, and attentive without hovering. The atmosphere is casual and felt just like a drinking spot you’d find in Korea. This was my first visit, but I’m already planning...
