Had a appointment at 14:00. Arrived 14:03 because there was a car accident on the road.(I left 40 min before even I was at 15 min away distance) The time hair stylist, owner started touch my hair was 15:05. I didn’t complained at that time because whatever the reason, the person who late first was me. But during the process there was more problem. There was only one stylist and only one trainee who only can do shampoo and unwinding things. Customers were 3 including me. They couldn’t focus on my hair. Even they had a miscommunication so trainee unwound my hair some and stylist had to rewind. Whenever they say 5 more min means 10 min, 10 more min means 15 min, 15 min more was 20min. They overbooked customers beyond their ability to take care of. And the result. My hair is uneven. I’m not expecting exactly even out cuz I understand it’s human’s job not a robot. But still, half of my hair curl is really nice exactly what I wanted but the other side is loose apparently. I contacted the stylist. She said it was good when my hair is done at the salon. Of course! It was right after done my hair, you dried my hair, you shaped my hair. She assumed the reason why my hair is different after first shampoo. But I did my hair exactly what she told me, taught me. She also asked me to see if it is still uneven when it wet. I sent her a picture and she does not have a answer. If it was her fault, she could say sorry at least. And if she thinks I’m too sensitive about it, she could say that straight forward. But she just read my message and picture, chose not to answer. Good customer service, right? I chose this salon because the owner is from Korea and she saying she worked more than 20 years in Korea. But disappointed a lot. Never had a issue w salons in Korea and NY. Whenever I go to salon, they always said my hair is easy to care and good condition for good result. And even they make some mistake if they apologize and fix it, I’m always ok with that. But I couldn’t get...
Read moreMy first time posting a negative review in google in my life. Extremely rude staff. Made an appointment 1:30pm today. The guy(asiaan guy with glasses) at the front didn't even seem to care when I entered. I told him I made an appointmentment at 1:30pm and he told me to wait a little more and I asked how long do I need to wait. Then he told me I will need to wait 40 minutes. I couldn't understand why I needed to wait that long since my appointment was already made. At this point I was little annoyed but waited with patience.
Waited an hour and still no one seemed to care. Other customers who arrived after me were already getting the haircut. I was pissed, but asked the guy at the front gently because I didn't want to make any troubles. Now, it was him who had an annoying expression towards me and told me with strong tone "she's almost done. She's almost done. Just wait." I almost exploded here but again, I didn't want to make any problem. So I waited.
20 minutes after, no one still even seem to care and the guy was playing with the kids ignoring me. In total, I waited two hours for nothing. I had to call other hair salon(Park Juns Beauty Lab) where they could do the hair cut for me right away. So I just left the salon and went to Park Jun.
I mean why would this guy still accept the appointment when it wasn't even available? Especially that attitude towards me. Im really pissed. They made this mistake and still treated me unfairly with that bad attitude. That irresponsible asian guy is just upsetting me. Why didn't he call me earlier if the appointment is being delayed?
For those who want a good haircut service, I would recommend Parks Jun instead. The staffs there are much more kind and assists quickly, and the quality of service is excellent. The guy here is just ruining the business. Feel bad the lowest star I can give is 1. I would have given -5 if Google...
Read moreGood experiences with cuts, but not for hair dye. I had my hair dyed here almost 9-10 months ago and I think the stylist who dyed my hair was overbooked & kept my hair dye in for too long. She was working on 2 other clients at the same time. The assistant that washed the hair dye off of my hair used acetone to rub off what she thought was the red hair dye on my hairline (when it was actually an open burn scab) & it burned like crazy. I ended up with a chemical burn on my hairline. I should’ve gone back for at least a refund, but I didn’t. My friends told me to press charges, but I chose not to as they are very kind people and this is a small business. Months later & my hair is extremely thin & the hair on my hairline is not growing. Please be careful & speak up if they keep in hair dye for too long. I wish I said something sooner, but I don’t know why I didn’t speak up. I will say haircut by Christine is really really good (she is not the person who dyed my hair) I probably won’t be back just because of my experience with the hair dye. I’m super depressed because of my hair now… it’s very sparse on the hairline & everyone close to me noticed it too. * I paid $245 to dye my hair slightly brown-red btw. I did...
