Humble House — Restaurant in Duluth

I’ve been to Humble House a couple times and they have all been pleasant. The food is really good and definitely worth to go if you like Chinese food. The area is inside the Great Wall grocery store so the atmosphere isn’t all that but there is usually space which is good in the food area. I will say most of my luck the tables have been dirty as a warning but not at the fault of the restaurant as they are not responsible to clean the tables. The service was pleasant not the best but definitely decent there is a language barrier sometimes which isn’t the easiest but I have always got the right order so no complaints just not a place that goes above and beyond if that makes sense. I have tried a couple thing but my favorite is definitely the dry hot pot. There are just so many different options in it and the seasoning is terrific. It is really spicy for those that can’t handle spice well I do not recommend then. The cumin lamb is definitely flavorful just not my favorite but that is because I prefer szechuan over cumin. If you like cumin I definitely recommend the lamb or the beef you can really taste the cumin. The wait isn’t very long mostly just waiting for them to cook should be around max 10 min. Mostly, I ordered lunches to go. Good food portions wise. Fresh ingredients; it may not be 'expensive' type of ingredients, no lobsters nor king crabs, nor Kobe beef. One thing notable, I get my order timely. With one exception, one time, I was given wrong order (mixed up with someone else' and I had to return to claim mine). Spicy Mixed Vegies fish and Shrimp with eggplant, (魚片香鍋, 茄片虾球煲) Savory Double Cooked Dishes like Fish in Wok is known as signatures of dishes in district of Sichuan and Hunan provinces (川湘). Humble's Prices are not only feasible to a busy home-chef like me but for the effort required to get that dishes in its quality, it is really exceptional especially when inflation is applicable to all industries. Each time I need to quietly read, or simply sit to chill, I tend to get their take-out. Humble helps me to get what I want, and delivers or standardized what I paid for consistently . The seating area really is unpleasant. Chairs and tables need serious upgrade or sanitized, H-Mart dining area is so much better maintained when looking for self-seating place, I often avoid...

Absolutely LOVE this place. The food is phenomenal, and the lady at the cash register is nice. The spicy boiled fish and beef are glorious. So spicy you sit there sweating but you get a bowl of rice to help you simmer down. The cold noodles are also amazing. I like to start with those while the other dishes cool down a little. I don't know what witchcraft they have but the fish, beef and noodles are all silky smooth -- looove it.

The prices at this place are also hard to beat. We got 3 dishes with generous portions for less than $40. That's nearly impossible nowadays for this quality of food. The only problem is the environment. It's within the food court of Great Wall Supermarket. Super convenient for shopping, but it's not the cleanest.
