Customer service is horrible here… we ordered 2 GA Diner breakfasts and as soon as we ordered my sister asked the waitress to change her order. The waitress said she couldn’t change her order. I have NEVER, EVER heard that you can’t change your order at any restaurant. We told her then we would like to speak to the manager, the owner came and said it couldn’t be changed, so I proceeded to let her know that I’d the order can’t be changed than we will cancel it. Then she agreed to change the order and told us that she would let us change the order and that this was a waste of money for her. She made us feel so uncomfortable, her attitude, demeanor, being condescending, the way she raised her eyebrows at us in annoyance. Then the waitress came after getting approval to change the order and told us that if the owner hadn’t approved the change she couldnt make the change and we would be stuck with what was ordered. They should realize that if we haven’t consumed anything we don’t have to pay for it.. specially if we are not satisfied with their service which was definitely the case here.
On a previous occasion I came with my mother and the silverware was dirty and the rim of the cup was full of crusted sugar and they were not as passionate in apologizing as they were making us feel guilty about changing the order.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
EDIT: RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY.
We were sitting right across from the doors to the kitchen and as soon as our waitress walked in and out after taking our order we immediately called her over and told her we wanted to cancel the order and get something else instead. She went back and said they had already started it. It was not busy. I was there. Secondly, she told us that if we cancelled the order she would have to pay for it.. it seemed like to me she didn’t want to cancel the order because it was more expensive than what my sister wanted in its place. The OWNER (the waitress confirmed it was the owner) told us it was a loss to her because we changed our order. With the owner feeling comfortable to talk down on the customers it is no wonder the waitress is ok with...

My girlfriend and I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant here. We pulled up to the drive-thru and sat for over 20 minutes with no one assisting us. Finally, someone who was throwing away garbage noticed us and told us the drive-thru was closed. There were no signs, no directions, no communication from staff — nothing to let customers know.
We decided to go inside instead, only to find the doors locked. Again, no signs or notices anywhere. The restaurant was empty, but all of the employees were in the back, laughing and carrying on, while we stood there waiting and trying to figure out how to get service. We rang the bell several times, and when someone finally came out, he looked annoyed and angry that we were even there.
He didn’t make an effort to help, and he couldn’t communicate with us in English. Instead of trying to get someone else who could, he went to the back and then returned again with the single word “website,” before just standing there staring at us. It felt like we weren’t wanted there at all. The whole interaction came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. Honestly, the way we were treated made both of us feel like maybe it was because of our race, language, or simply that they didn’t care about serving us at all.
At that point, we had enough and decided to leave. We went to Waffle House instead, and the difference was night and day — the staff there greeted us immediately, served us with kindness, and made us feel welcome.
I will never return to Georgia Diner. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy was beyond unacceptable. If you care about being treated with respect and want a place that values its customers, I recommend going literally...
Read moreIntroduction: The hostess was kind and greeted us with a smile.
Ambiance: The restaurant's décor was not vibrant. It looks dim. The seats and tables are old and looked worn. I like a vintage look but the appearance to me, was simply old.
Food: I had the chicken and waffles with a side of cheese grits. The waffles were ok not as hot as I would have liked but edible. The tenders were hot and tender only downside was a couple of the pieces had some gristle in them, making eating those pieces difficult. The cheese grits were hands-down the best I have ever had! They were hot and the cheese was consistent throughout with each spoonful. They taste as if the cheese was cooked in with the grits not placed on top after the grits are cooked. My fiancé had French toast, bacon, and eggs. His food was good. We both had a good portion size.
Price: The price was consistent with an average local diner.
Experience: My second experience eating here was not as pleasant as my first time. The waitress was the same on both visits. She was friendlier and more attentive on the first visit but less attentive and seemed "over it" on my second visit. We were not asked if we needed anything additional before she brought the check.
Will/Will Not Return: I will return in the future because my experience was both pleasant and unpleasant so I would like to see how my third visit would be. I really did like the grits 😊!
Stars: I gave it 3/5 because I think they should invest in new furniture and upgrade the overall décor to make the appearance more vibrant and warm. The food was good for the most part with a minor issue. The waitress could have been friendlier and more attentive.
Tip: If you like cheese grits please get them...the key is...
