Quickly — Restaurant in Duluth

Alright y’all—lemme tell you about my redemption visit to Quickly’s!

I hadn’t been here in forever after a not-so-great first impression, but my brother swore it had gotten better—so I gave it a second shot. It’s in the same plaza as Kroger, with tons of parking (love that for us). Right when I walked in, I saw a sign for a chicken steak + fries combo for $8.49—like what even is chicken steak?? The cashier said it’s basically fried chicken breast with seasoning, so I was like “Bet, let’s try it spicy!”

My bro’s a regular, so he went all in with super spicy chicken nuggets, fried tofu, and a strawberry smoothie. I grabbed the Logan green tea with aloe vera—yes, I was feelin’ fancy.

Now let’s talk food—’cause BABYYY, they came to impress this time: • Fried tofu – 10/10: Soft inside, crispy outside, seasoned to perfection. And with that spicy mayo? Insane. • Chicken nuggets – 10/10: Super spicy, full of flavor, and the portion size? MASSIVE. Fire. • Chicken steak & fries – 8/10: Gave katsu vibes. Juicy, crunchy, dipped in that spicy mayo = YES. Fries were mid, but I wasn’t mad at it. • Logan green tea w/ aloe – So nostalgic. If you know, you know. Sweetness was perfect and the aloe? Refreshing with a lil texture.

The vibe inside? Cute, cozy little booths, chill spot to hang with friends or study. Not super IG-worthy, but still cute and lowkey. Only downside? The cashier was kinda dry. I asked for recs and she gave bare minimum energy—but hey, maybe she was having a long day.

Overall? WAY better than my first visit. 8/10—food slapped, drinks were fire, and I’ll def be back...

I went there and ordered a grass jelly milk tea. I got home and started to drink it. There was something hairy like so i spat it out after swallowing the rest of the drink that was in my mouth. I looked at it and saw a dead flu in my hand. Now coming from a person that is scared of any and every single insect (even lady bugs and butterflies) there is in the world, I freaked out and ran to brush my teeth. Before I could even get to the sink, I threw up so much. Mind you, I didnt even expect to throw up. I told myself, never again will I ever come back. A couple months later my friend wanted to stop by that same location to get herself and her family bubble tea I sat in the car and waited. My friend came out with a drink for me. I was like okay why not. As we were driving home, I was drinking it and i felt something in my mouth. I thought, "oh please oh please don't tell me...not again". I took it out and there was a fly. I could not believe it. There will not be a third time. I just don't understand out...

I love this place! The employees are always very nice! I am addicted to their Taiwanese chicken nuggets! I usually get it spicy but then I also need a drink to go with it because of the spiciness _
