My friend & I had been planning to hang out all day & we were really looking forward to catching up. First, I checked in with the front desk while I waited for her. They told me it would be a 20min wait but she got there pretty quickly & we were waiting outside for about 30min. Honestly though, that wasn't that big of a deal because everything else was going pretty well. Our server, Ariuna, was really nice & the atmosphere was very mellow. We ordered our food & not even 10min after receiving it, my friend found a bug in her potatos. She was very turned off & immediately lost her appetite. Of course, I was pretty upset as well because I didn’t want to be eating alone. We both stopped everything & told our waitress. A manager came out by the name of JJ. We told him what had happened but he was smiling about the situation as if something was funny. He apologized & said he would fix it right away but then he came back out with a bill saying he removed her meal but I still had to pay for mine. I didn't think I should have to pay for anything due to inconvenience. It's not like I continued to eat my food. What if there were bugs cooked in mine too? JJ didn’t try to accommodate us at all! His response was “we can’t know there are bugs in the food unless we open up everything” (so he was basically saying he can't know if the potatoes are bug free unless he opens them all up). Now, that just sounded ridiculous. He told me again that I still had to pay for my food but I refuse to pay for a meal that I didn't even eat. It just doesn't make any sense to me. So at this point, we stood up & politely walked out, but as we were leaving, JJ & Terry both walked outside & not only took a picture of my friend's license plate as if they wanted to call the authorities, but they started recording us as well. Is this how you all handle your customers? Our friend gathering that we planned all day was ruined & your managers are chasing me in the parking lot? I believe this location was shut down once before for having a rodent issue, right? My entire experience was just unacceptable. I'll probably never eat here again & I hope people read this review next time they think about...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I used to love this place before I moved so I was excited to eat here again. A group of friends (5) and I were planning on meeting here for lunch while I was in town. We got here around 1pm and 3 out of 5 of us were here. The person in the front said we had to wait on all of our party to be seat so we sat down and waited. We wait for about 10 minutes and my other 2 friends let me know they were running late but were close so I asked the girl if we can go ahead and sit down and start with appetizers and drinks and she said rudely no we have to wait on everyone. So we asked for a smaller table and just tried to move to a bigger one and another hostess told me to “be honest about how many people are in my party”. Like girl what I already told yall how many people we were going to have. Mind you there’s only 1 or 2 other couples there eating in the WHOLE restaurant. The place was empty! So empty the employees were ALL sitting in the back tables gossiping and talk, so it’s not like we would’ve taken up a table other customers would have used. We were practically begging them to serve us. So rather than sit us early and start with drinks and appetizers, they lost out on a $500+ check (apps, multiple rounds of drinks, and entrees) Instead we left and went to Cap’t Loui! Such a great choice to leave! So save your time and go where the people actually want to serve you and spend your...
Read moreThis was my first time at the juicy crab. I was excited to see what it was like. Our waitress was awesome, she smiled with her eyes because she was wearing a mask, she was friendly and overall very happy we loved her attitude.
But, it took them 45 minutes to serve a family of six. If they know the wait time is going to be so long, they should serve at least bread and butter we were starving 😫
45 mins later when the food arrived, those who ordered crab boils were in plastic bags. I had never seen anything like it but I thought it was pretty cool 😎
They also brought us a bucket filled with bibs & plastic gloves. When you're cracking crabs, the juice splashes everywhere!
You can get your crabs in certain flavors, whether it's just garlic butter or garlic butter with spices; medium, mild or hott 🔥
I chose medium but I really should have went with no spice for the first time because I think it was a little too spicy 🥵 for me.
They also give you special things in your bag like boiled eggs, potatoes, sausage, corn on the cob🌽. You can choose what you want in your bag.
Overall, it was a great experience we enjoyed it, we just didn't like the long wait time for lunch.
It's a great place to eat, it was crowded at lunch time on a Sunday too. One of the best things about it was we were able to be seated right away.
And I was able to spend some quality time with my...
