Dear Ursa Minor,
I love your pizza; I love your beer. I bring my friends to you from far and near.
The music is nice, The fires are warm. You're a sweet, cozy spot to escape from a storm.
You’ve got Margherita… You’ve got Food Farm, too. We love them all! So what’s to do?
We order both! We find they’re delicious! And best of all, we don’t do the dishes:)
We’ve eaten our fill, Now it’s time to pack Our lovely lunch pizzas into your new pizza sacks.
OH! Sadness OH! Tears Once home, we’ve discovered Our Pizzas are folded and stuck to each other.
The bottoms are soggy. That’s not very nice. It no longer resembles that wood-fired slice.
Your mission is noble - You care for the planet. I don’t take that lightly; we can’t take life for granted.
The bag is a start, but sadly it fails, For who wants a lunch resembling scrambled entrails?
Please re-light the fire, And fine-tune this mess; I know you can do it! Just give it your best.
Love, your pizza groupie, Melody PS. My ideas to kickstart the next brainstorming session: 1.) Include a cardboard liner for the bag 2.) Charge a small fee for a box 3.) Sell reusable to-go boxes at the merch table (seriously, how many more t-shirts do we...
Read moreWe’ve visited 3 times now and have had good experiences with the staff and have liked the beer each time. I’d give the service and beer 4.5 stars.
The issue I have is that you are not allowed to bring in food. I don’t know that I’ve ever been to a craft brewery where you aren’t allowed to bring food in from local restaurants.
We brought food in on our last two visits. It was only the last visit where the person checking IDs told us outside food was prohibited but they would allow it this one time. Then we were reminded of this policy once again after we sat down.
In my opinion, craft neighborhood breweries are supposed to embraced a sense of community. People bring their children and dogs here. They bring food from fantastic neighborhood restaurants or food trucks. Something you don’t typically do at a neighborhood bar. Breweries support and are supported by complimentary businesses in the area. Local restaurants sell your beer but you won’t allow their food in your brewery? That’s disgraceful.
I’m sorry but if I can’t bring BBQ in from a local restaurant, I probably won’t...
Read moreFor as long as Ursa Minor exists, it will always be my wife and I’s go to brewery. We fell in love with it from day one. They are always so busy but it’s cause they sell such delicious sours and food!. We always start off with a Nomad pizza for dinner along with the best tasting root beer we’ve ever had. Today we tried their new paninis and what a great decision that was. I had the jalapeño panini and my wife had the bonafide north panini. They were grilled to perfection and had so much flavor! So delicious! We love how they always have new flavors of sours. (That’s our go to type of drink) the May flowers sour was so refreshing on this beautiful hot day! Too bad they didn’t have any crowlers left to take home! So we opted for a muffin top and blackberry shenanigans crowlers which are flavors we had tried already so we knew they were perfect to take home. Ursa Minor staff really knows how to make sure customers keep coming back. They’re so sweet, quick and efficient! Thank...
