After having dinner there I would normally rate it average. However, I think it is more expensive than other restaurants for the value received because they are relying on the Duluth Grill reputation and connection. The Duluth Grill is excellent but this place isn't nearly as good. We were seated and were asked what we wanted to drink before we even sat down. Of course we wanted to review drink menu first so we asked server to come back in a little bit. It took quite awhile for server to come back and had to flag them down. I had the Pastrami Reuben which was only OK (it was dry). They didn't bring thousand island sauce which you normally get with a Reuben (and listed on the menu). When I requested it the waitress forgot about it and we had to ask for it again but of course I was almost finished with the sandwich. My wife ordered the Corktown Burrito and had a difficult time eating it as it had too many jalapeno peppers in it. It wasn't marked as spicy on the menu like some of the other dishes. There also was a special that week for very close to the same thing my wife ordered (burrito) but the server never told us about it. We found it hidden behind the menus on a seperate sheet on the table near the menus after the fact. Not a big deal but good servers will normally tell you about specials before ordering - especially when it was nearly the same thing. I still tip 20% of bill as they work hard but they still need feedback to improve. The menu selection at Corktown is good with a lot to choose from. One of the things I like is that they give you a large glass of ice water when you are seated without having to ask for it. I wish more restaurants would do this. While I would go back if we are with others who want to go there, I would not likely go back if it is just the two of us. Again, very average and I thought over priced for...

So my husband, aunt and I came to eat here. Food was ok. My aunt had the pastrami Ruben and enjoyed it. I had the grilled cheese with ham and it was good, not as cheesy as I would expect a grilled cheese to be. I also tried the blue cheese and bacon slaw, not something I would order again. My husband had the chicken burrito bowl and wasn’t impressed. Chicken flavoring wasn’t what he was expecting. Prices are expensive and the sandwiches come with nothing but a pickle. My big issue is that I don’t think they’ve determined if they are fast casual or sit down. We came in and were told to order at the counter. So we sat down and decided on what to eat and then someone came and asked if we needed drinks. Well so we ordered drinks but I assumed we still had to go to the counter to order. So we went up to the counter to order. Well we paid for the food there and we had to pay for our drinks with the bartender. I also found out that my soda would have only been 59cents had I ordered it with my sandwich and salad instead of the $2.75 the bartender charged me. So this was very confusing and should have been explained better to customers. I don’t think...

I went out to lunch with my sister and friend here. I ordered the loaded mac and cheese, which wasn’t super flavorful and didn’t have that much pulled pork, but it was a large portion. My sister ordered the baja bowl and thought it was super fresh, until she found a piece of blonde hair mixed in it. When we told the host, you could tell she was uncomfortable and didn’t know what to say, and offered to remake but her appetite had disappeared with the new finding. My other friend ordered a chicken sandwich, with fries and a piece of cornbread. The owner or manager came over and offered a free dessert considering the hair, which was nice; we got the chocolate ganache cake to go, which ending up being amazing (and hairless, thank god). Then the bill came, and the chicken sandwich was $18, and added $9 for fries and $2.00 also for “fries”, when we talked about it to the hostess she said it was “about the same” even though the cornbread was $2.99 and the fries were $2.00 extra for a side with a sandwich. The woman argued with us and we paid regardless. ALSO. there is a 2.5% gratuity added for kitchen staff if you don’t use cash—which is on the menu but is...

Today was my first time being inside, but I've enjoyed one of their sandwiches in the past. I ordered the reuben, mondo style (double meat for a extra $3), and it was easily one of the best I've had in MN. I'm for sure going back to try another one of their sandwiches in the future. I cannot stress this enough, get the bread pudding. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly. They can help you decide if you can't come up with an option from all of the amazing choices. If you're into hot sauces, check out the window. So many too choose from that it'll keep you coming back. There's also a deli section and drink area. Prices will leave you with a large bill due to the desire to try everything, so be aware of that. Overall it's a great lunch/dinner place in an area full of growth.

Corktown moved to the 27th Ave W next to their Duluth Grill. Parking can be pretty full at this time. You still walk up to order or they will seat you with a server or you will find your own seat. We got the slammin and the SS minnow. There was not enough salmon spread. I ended up taking off half of the bun to eat it as an open sandwich and still had leftover bread. I did not think their hoagie style bun was not as good as before. The slammin brisket was excellent and so was the bread pudding and blue cheese coleslaw. Prices are on the higher end for sandwiches and they have the 3.5 surcharge on credit cards. Will try again as have loved the old location and sandwiches
