SU-SHILITO MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Duncan

Duncan is not a foodie haven. It is a poor town with no manner of employment besides the service industry, meaning fast food.

Sushilito does not look from the outside as promising as one might hope. But a friend and I, in search of decent Tex-Mex, decided to give it a shot.

Not only was the interior clean and brightly decorated, the staff was welcoming and helpful.

The menu had typical Tex-Mex offerings, so we selected the chimichanga as it was the special for the day. They immediately brought us warm chips and good salsa. We had also ordered some white queso, which was made with real cheese and was delicious. While we talked and munched, waiting for our plates, we felt much better about our decision.

The food came out and it was beautiful and steaming hot. The chimichanga can be filled with your choice of protein. My friend chose chicken, I chose beef. She said the chicken was delicious. My shredded beef was expertly spiced and quite tasty. The refritos were delicious along with the traditional Mexican rice. And there was so much food, I took half of mine home for the next days lunch.

I'm looking forward to going back and becoming a regular at Sushilito. As the name implies, they also serve sushi. Maybe someday I'll try their sushi, but Mexican food is something that's been part of my life forever, and when it's done well nothing is...

If you haven't eaten here you are MISSING OUT. I was hesitant to try a 3rd restaurant in Duncan after the first two were so unbelievably awful but man am I glad I did!

I haven't tried Kyoto yet but they're gonna have a hard time beating the mango habenero roll I just had. I can't wait to bring my daughter here so she can try the one rolled in hot cheetos 😂 I also had a chicken chimichanga and my wife had the chicken fajitas, both were absolutely perfect and everything you could want from a Mexican dish. Oh and for you pepper heads they have the best goddamn habenero salsa I've ever tried 🤤

Our waitress was excellent, just the right amount of attentive and very friendly. Our food arrived promptly and we didn't have to wait for any part of our meal or check.

Everything was clean and in good condition, the place smelled delicious, and I liked they had some more modern Latin music, the Mariachi stuff gets old.

Can't recommend this place more strongly, this is my new go to spot...

While in the southern section of oklahoma today managing some properties, my husband and I stopped to try out Su-Shilito!

We were both happy to utilize their restrooms before sitting down to dine in, both of which were clean and orderly.

My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros, he DEVOURED it!! Stating the red sauce was just like his mother used to make. While I ordered the burrito which was massive and we were able to being half of it back home.

The white queso was fantasic the chips were crispy and fresh. Our server and our casher were considerate and polite.

We shall most definitely be giving this eatery another visit in the near future. Thank you for a positive first...
