@BANGKOK THAI EXPRESS — Restaurant in Dundee Township

One of the worst to-go orders I’ve EVER had.

I ordered a papaya salad, medium spicy for $17. It was SO spicy my whole mouth and stomach was on fire. When they have spice levels, “mild, medium, spicy, very spicy, and thai spicy,” there is absolutely no reason a “medium” should have been THAT spicy. I had to trash the whole $17 dish because the spice levels made it inedible. To charge significantly more for a papaya salad than other thai restaurants AND make it so bad… wow. I’ve been sick since last night for the small amount of this I did eat. This was supposed to be my dinner.

Next, I ordered a mango sticky rice. The mango was clearly UNDER-RIPE. It was SO sour and had zero sweetness. Bits of the mango’s skin were on the mango pieces. One piece of mango was clearly brown and spoiled too. A second piece was slightly spoiled with a corner of brown. The white, slightly sweet sauce that goes over the sticky rice was on the side and I could see it was severely WATERED down. It’s supposed to have at least a little thickness to it. It literally had the consistency of water.

By far the WORST food quality of any Thai food I’ve ever had. I’m stunned because of all the great reviews. And shame on this restaurant for overpricing all their food on UberEats to then give THIS very low type of quality. Save your money and go...

Chet, the owner of the restaurant, was very accommodating to our party of 6. Everything was clean and neat. The staff was welcoming. The menu is descriptive and well organized into categories such as fried rice varieties, sweet and sour dishes, mixed vegetable dishes, etc. Prices are very affordable and portions are appropriate and filling. They, also, offer 18 different flavors of Boba teas PLUS Boba toppings. Our food was quickly made fresh to order and was absolutely delicious! The pho I had was quite flavorful and the broth is NOT oily like at most places. The others our party really enjoyed their ginger chicken, sweet and sour chicken and kids chicken strip meals. A majority of us ordered the pho and were very pleased with our decision. We even received some yummy Thai Iced Tea on the house! I'm not at all familiar with Thai Iced Tea but it has a delightful hint of chocolaty after taste. We will definitely make it a point to stop here along our way to the Dells...

This is a fantastic restaurant I had all vegetarian food so I can’t speak to the meat the vegetables are done just correctly the sauce of the red curry is flavorful the drunken noodles are exactly what I wanted with a variety of vegetables in it not just three types like some places have The pad Thai was very good it tasted like they used good eggs in them you can tell bad pad Thai by the types of eggs that are used it makes it taste funky I also had the Rama vegetables which is a peanut sauce-based vegetable and that was perfect as well overall this is a wonderful restaurant and I will definitely be utilizing them several times a month the foodIs much healthier than a lot of options in the area anyway so I’m glad to have them in the...
