I have been shopping here for over a month, using the same out-of-state (Colorado) ID.
Your employees have not had any issue with my ID up until today. It is a valid ID, not expired, from the state of Colorado. It scans fine, your employees have scanned it fine every time without fail.
Today an employee refused my ID because it has a hole punch.
I want to make something clear to your management team - there is no law or guideline that states you must refuse an out of state ID just because it has a hole punch. Do your research and you will see that I am correct.
Only ILLINOIS Drivers Licenses (only drivers licenses, not state IDs) are invalidated by a hole punch, and the hole punch specifically is punched through the expiration date. Again, the ID is only invalidated if it has the punch through the expiration date. My ID does not fall under these stipulations. The expiration date is visible, barcode is scannable, and it is still a valid state ID from the state of Colorado. They accept it at the airport for goodness sake.
The only reason I am even using this ID is because my wallet with my new drivers license was stolen. Most people with empathy are understanding of my situation if they mention my ID has a hole in it, and I explain.
I immediately went to another dispensary and they accepted my ID with no issue. They also confirmed (as I already knew) that it is your employees discretion whether to accept an ID or not, the only thing that guarantees refusal is if it does not scan. That is what the scanner is for.
I have been using this ID at dispensaries for the past few months, in multiple states. The hole punch has been mentioned a few times, however this is the first time I have been flat out REFUSED.
You folks are mistaken about when and when not to refuse an ID that has a hole punch. I gave you the correct information, feel free to confirm it for yourself.
I would know - I worked as a bouncer/ID checker in Chicago for years LOL
I also worked as an ID checker for EDC in Las Vegas which arguably has stricter regulations than a dispensary 😂
To reiterate - I would know when an ID is acceptable or not because it has literally been my job previously.
Not that you care, but you just lost a customer over something incredibly silly. I was planning on spending over $100 today. Think about it from a business perspective - your business just lost a $100+ sale over some bureaucratic nonsense that legitimately didn’t matter at all. Quite stupid,...
Read moreThey do not honor their promotion false advertisement. Clearly under their website it says 30% off for medical patients when ordering off the app. Was turned down as a medical patient saying they no longer offer the promotion, with the promotion still clearly on the website. Terrible business practice to turn down a patient when your website still clearly says you offer the discount for medical. Will never shop at this location again and due this incident, I advise other customers to stay clear. No one wants to get up to a payment counter just to be told they've wasted their time because they don't honor their promotions (Even worse to do to a medical patient) this clearly shows corporate greed because somebody up top literally said "we're losing too much money to patients. How can we make more money?"..... "let's remove the medical discount from non-medical facilities" because Illinois lacks medical dispensaries" Even if this company were to bring back the 30% medical discount or even worse if they tried to bring it back at a lower percentage, it just clearly shows their corporate greed. They clearly don't care about patients. They care about making money yet they'll sell you a medical card to make more money. Two-Face corporate greed at its best.
You can keep your points your company has shown its greed. To save money you rip away the medical discount..... I advise customer go to vertical in cary or rise in lake in the hills. Much better discounts anyways.
No confusion false advertisement and I have the screen shot to prove it. Impactful to me!?! All patients that were able to advantage of the discount since Illinois lacks in medical facilities. Then your answer is check out Litchfield 4 hours away Posen over and hour away and Homewood an hour away.... Yeah greedy corporations who ripped medical discounts away from sick people to force them to pay more money so you can make more profit. Your integrity shows in...
Read moreI was a regular customer came about 2 times a week even brought friends there to shop but last visit I reserved my carts online drove 45 minutes to get there received my text my order was ready for pick up got there n they said they sold it. The manager Jaylee was checking me out n I asked what happened to my reservation see said they can’t hold it. What’s the point of the reservation?? Then I got something else asked her if they could honor the discount she said “no that I’m not special people drive from all over to get there n they run out of their product too. What? I asked if I could speak to the manager she said I am I asked who’s above her she said nobody. Finally got the number to corporate n she told me they won’t get back to you anyway. How is she the manager with terrible customer service skills? Idk but I won’t be coming back again but according to Jaylee they don’t care so I guess it is what it is. Every other dispensary honors reservations. Seems pretty unintelligent to not honor the discount so instead of taking $15 off I guess you’re loosing over $1000 a year from me. Idk how that makes any sense as a business model. Oh well plenty of other dispensaries that want my money. Also telling my friends not to go there anymore. Never had a problem before there but this manager I even had to tell look you don’t have to talk to me like that when I was just asking questions. In what world do you tell a customer “you’re...
