I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try worst mistake I've made. I travel for work. I've been to 16+ states and ate at over 200 "authentic Mexican" restaurants and this place has to be the worst. I asked for a bowl of queso they informed me they didn't have it, but they did have queso fundido. Now anyone that knows anything about food would understand that if you have one you have both. Queso fundido is just cheese sauce with chorizo in it. So I ordered it. When it came out it was shredded cheese and chorizo. Since the shredded cheese was cheap it did not melt. When it cooled down it became one whole block of cheese and chorizo. You couldn't dip a chip if you wanted to. We had to put it on a plate and use our knife to cut it into slices and place it on our chip. The margaritas had so much sweet and sour my stomach was upset after just one. I had the fajitas which consisted of a whole onion, a whole red and green pepper, and very little chicken. Had to be like 6 strips of chicken. My friend had a tamale and enchiladas. The tamale was so damn dry when he cut into it I swear you could see dust flying up. The enchiladas were small with very little filling and covered in a sauce that was just terrible and over powered the taste. Not that there was much taste to over power to begin with. On top of all of that they are way over priced for the quality and quantity of food being served. Money is not an issue when it comes to quality well prepared food. I felt they should have paid me to eat it. To sum it up this place is trash and doesn't deserve the right to be called Mexican food. I've had better Mexican from a frozen container...
Read moreThey offer cecina but it is thicker than regular steak. When addressed, owner opted to argue that Cecina from Guanajuato is thicker than regular steak and marinated with lime juice. He became upset because I returned the Celina torta instead of apologizing and correcting the item, he went on to argue that it was a finer cut of a black top steak with very little to no nerve (yet 3 of the five pieces of "cecina" that I tried to eat, were all nerve which I tried to chew and ended up taking out of my mouth!). They say pick your battles but honestly don't argue with a paying customer especially one that knows her meat cuts and styles. Respect your customers, be courteous and fix the situation instead of sitting on your high horse and ignoring a solution to the problem. Sure you didn't charge the torta but how does that compensate the embarrassing moment of being "spoken to in an ignorant loud tone". The fact that you are trying to sell meat that you incorrectly advertise and stand your ground to say it is something that it is NOT, for all to hear only reflects poorly on your establishment. Here and in China that is trying to take a customer for their money; cheating, fraud, scam... Call it what you want. If you advertise Cecina and it is not, or it is a "different type" then your menu should reflect it. We will NOT be returning! The screenshot below shows what Cecina should be, not the garbage I was served which I should have taken a picture of but didn't think to do...
Read moreWife was curious to check this place out. We were deceived by the cozy atmosphere. Our table was filthy when we sat. Older woman came over to clean and took our drink orders. Wife's margarita was practically VIRGIN. The good part prior to our order was the salsas. Tacos were okay, torta was okay, enchiladas were good, however the chicken taquitos were COSTCO. They microwaved her, the Costco brand, and cut them in half to transform them from tacos to taquitos. This place is synonymous with taco bell. Like papa John's pizza trying to compete with real Chicago style pizza. I recommend to stay away. Chef Ramsay should...
