Carol's Corner — Restaurant in Dundee Township

I’ve been a regular at this bar on weekends and enjoyed it in the past (which is why I did give 2 starts) ... but my recent experiences left me frustrated and disappointed. As usual, I opened a tab by giving my card to the bartender. However, when I went to close out at last call, I was told that I had "already closed out." The bartender showed me a signed receipt—but the signature wasn’t mine. It wasn’t even close to my handwriting. Now, mistakes happen, and I understand that the bartender had been taking shots all night, so I initially thought this might just be an honest mix-up. I asked if I could leave my number in case someone came back with my card, but the bartender argued with me, calling me a liar. Later, I tried to get ahold of someone to see if they/ I could review the security footage, but I was told they don’t share that with people. The bar is usually filled with regulars, and given the lack of willingness to help, it really makes me wonder if they were protecting one of them? Regardless of the situation, taking someone else’s card and signing their name is fraud. This place...
