Jet's Pizza — Restaurant in Dunedin

I ordered Jets Pizza last night as their pizza is usually amazing. The first 2 times in the last 30 days its was off the charts but the last 2 times average at best. However, this the 4th visit had additional entertainment. I asked the young girl for a cloth so I could wipe off a table, they were all filthy. She said no, she would get it. The cook came out and was ripe, really ripe, he stunk badly. It made me wonder if he was that dirty should I be eating anything he is cooking or touching and how come no one told him to use deodorant! She wiped off the top of one table top, not the seat or back where someone with suntan oil had been sitting, and she didn’t wipe off the other 2 dirty tables! She was busy standing out of site talking to the staff! I was the only customer there, it seems wiping off tables and having a clean store isn’t a priority! As I sat to eat my average pizza I heard what sounded like a war with metal on metal, it was really loud! Someone was fighting with pans and losing! Then it got even better when the yelling started, it sounded like “number 8.” I stopped eating and walked to the back as there was no one out front and asked what was going on back there. The young girl said he was yelling delivery. The kitchen isn’t that big, he could have taken the 3-5 steps and spoke to the delivery guy face to face, but nope, yelling was the choice! He yelled, “delivery” about 6 times! Apparently this is not a place to sit in and enjoy the food unless you like: Dirty tables Pans banging and people screaming! I would look elsewhere!

I phoned their corporate office this morning and explained what happened to a really nice lady that seemed appalled at what I shared. So, after the call I phoned the store thinking the owner might be as nice. He was at his daughters wedding and the woman that answered would share my visit with him. When I explained the noise and how in 10 years I had never encountered it before, this woman explained they “always bang the pans to clean them,” I said I had never heard that before and again she informed me they “always,” I stopped her and asked why she had chosen to argue with me about my experience there, but never mind and I hung up. I highly recommend Jets pizza, especially if you're from up north & miss your favorite pizza place, give this place a try, I promise you won't regret it.

I recently moved down here & tried every pizza restaurant within a 5 mile radius, NONE of them come close to how good Jets is. I like that they sell single slices all day, everyday and it's very reasonably priced, budget friendly affordable for such a decent sized slice + great quality. Everytime I've been here the employees have been friendly, professional and keep it clean inside, even the bathroom is pretty clean.

Food- So far I've only had their salad, garlic bread, & single slice pepperoni, after 3 visits and it's always been consistent, never a let down, SO DELICIOUS! The pizza is a square slice, thick pan style crust that has the right amount of seasonings & butter and I don't wanna say burnt but maybe like caramelized? It's a thin little layer of dark brown and crunchy around the edges and it's the best crust ever! I don't think anybody is leaving it behind, even the people that cut the crust off their sandwiches enjoys this crust, it's mouthwatering quality! The pepperoni is crunchy, not soggy or fake rubbery tasting and I really enjoy that. I ordered a 8 square large pizza. Understand the time is approximate however my pizza was sitting there Apx 15 after est time . They took care of everyone even the man that came in after me while I'm the Only person left standing in the lobby. The guy that pulled up my order online & I paid him cash, was well aware I was standing there the whole time. Thankfully the girl that helped the guy that came in later, while I was still standing in the Lobby asked to help me. She had to ask where my pizza was, of course it was just in the holding case. I said to her "that's my pizza that has been setting there!" To make matters worse it Taste Burnt. Could Not Eat it! I'm sorry I paid Cash although she did give me the receipt.
