Very nice accommodating man who took my phone order 5 min before closing: Im appreciative.TY! I read the reviews & read everyone recommending this authentic, great, Mexican food. I was excited! So i was expecting awesome but got average. Rice was a lil undercooked but good flavor. The black beans were best of the meal; delicious. The green chile sauce tasted like it came right out of the can, so i see Georgians find that acceptable bcuz they dont know any better. The chicken was moist, dark meat, wouldve liked to have seen breast meat. It wasnt bad at all but I was anticipating something stunningly delicious, so i was just a little disappointed with the Enchiladas Rancheros. It really does matter that the sauces are intricately planned out using several many ingredients & slow cooked so u get a better melting of flavors & spices. I think if this place could master an upgraded sauce & use a better cut of chicken & shred it, their enchiladas rancheros could be Fabulous! Being Mexican American from Los Angeles, im accustomed to having authentic mex cuisine, both @ restaurants & from family. In comparison to the most excellent dishes served by any of the restaurants at the historic & famed Olvera Street of LA, i think Los Hermanos has wonderful potential to duplicate that high level of authenticity. Thats what i think local residents would really like eat. I realize Georgia isnt California so getting that getting authentic cuisine is more of a challenge here. The owner has taught his crew well in hospitality & they seem to really care about their customers!! Friendly & wonderful...
Read moreService is awesome if being totally ignored is your thing. We showed up around 9 pm on a Saturday night and the place was not busy; there was no hostess. We waited to be seated and was ignored by pretty much every wait staff and the manager. Finally after about 5 -10 minutes of standing there a waitress came over to ask if we had been helped. I told her no and she could sense the frustration on our faces; we were at the point of leaving. She did step up and got us seated and apologized For that I was glad unfortunately the experience continued to decline; we should have just left. After sitting at our table with no server. the manager/hostess came and asked us if we had been helped. I laughed and said of course not. He could sense we were not happy but did not ask or inquire or apologize. He took our order and left. We gave up on getting silverware and got it ourselves from the service cart. The waiter or a waiter did show up as we finished our meal to ask us if we were ok and again later to drop off the bill - no joke.
The food was just ok; the drinks were better but pricey compared to other places. The mole and other items tend to be more sweet than I am use too, too sweet in my opinion. We had tried this place a couple of times for take out and were a little meh on the restaurant but thought we would give it one more try by attending in person. I think we are good now and won’t have a need to go back. 3rd time was not a charm...
Read moreI want to start by saying that this restaurant is generally good. Like any place, it may have some cleanliness issues, but that wasn’t my main concern. What really bothered me was what happened on a Sunday about a week ago. I went there with my wife, who is a former employee of this place and the one who originally introduced me to the restaurant. We were having a peaceful meal and a drink when the manager, Miguel—who’s almost like the owner—came over and said my wife was no longer welcome and wouldn’t be served again.
I was the one who invited her, and we had done nothing wrong, so I felt deeply offended. It felt very personal because it seems Miguel has been holding onto something from a year and a half ago. We’ve been there multiple times since then without any issues, so I don’t understand why on this day he chose to treat us as if we were worthless.
When I asked Miguel for an explanation, he just walked away without giving any reason. In the end, you can’t expect people to react a certain way when you act like that; you do what you do and accept the consequences of your actions.
I also want to add that anyone who thinks Miguel is a good person should just wait until they get fired or thrown out like they’re worthless. That’s exactly how we were made to feel, and it left a very negative impression on me.
Thank you very much, and I hope this makes things clear so there are no misunderstandings or different stories from...
