We were in the area and ready to grab a bite to eat. Hobnob is one of my favorite go-to’s so I was happy to see one was close. This was my first time at this location and it is cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The design of the plaza itself has a very modern multi-purpose look to it. Great greenery, a play area, and beautiful building exteriors. Oh yes, the outside ambiance it pretty pretty.
Walking in, the hostess was all smiles as I walked up to the desk. Though it is Father’s Day, it wasn’t too crowded so we were able to be seated immediately. The ambiance inside is just as beautiful as the outside. The exposed wood concept adds a natural warmth to the vibrant environment. There are multiple bars, ample seating, as well as an outdoor seating area. They ensured this location would capture the attention of any and everyone.
As we sat down, we were greeted by Xavier. He was super pleasant and all smiles. After welcoming us in, he covered the brunch and general menu highlights and gave us a moment to decide. In tradition of me, you know I ordered a sweet tea and it was the bombbbbbbbbbbbb. I’m talking a true Southern Comfort. LoL.
As it is super hot outside I didn’t want to eat too heavy, I decided on two sides of Bacon and the Cheese Grits.
The Bacon was AhhhhhhMaaaaaZinggggg. Well seasoned, meaty and perfectly done. There’s nothing like a good cut of bacon that is perfectly done and Hobnod hit it on the head.
The grits were super creamy and very cheesy. There was a nice seasoning to them but it didn’t take away from the natural flavor of the grits. The cheese was embedded in the dish so there weren’t any unmelted pieces. **To note, the cheese is already in the grits This was a very enjoyable experience. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all spot on.
If you’re in the area and looking for a hood bite, stop in and...
Read moreEarly Dinner table for 2 As I approached, I noticed there was plenty of parking available in the open shared parking lot. There are a lot of changes going on in this area. New restaurants are being worked on and they have a nice green(artificial) space in the central area. This will be a nice place to visit as the weather heats up in the Spring. We entered and were greeted warmly and then advised that Brunch had just ended, and dinner was not being served until 4:30. We decided to leave and do some shopping in a nearby store and return at dinner time. We returned and were seated immediately without a reservation. Our server Jesse quickly came by with our waters and checked in on us. We reviewed the extensive beer selection. I sampled an IPA that was too hoppy for me and then ordered a New Realm Hazy like a Fox and Wifey ordered the Goat Island Mango Wheat. I noticed they also offered beer flights which I will have to try next time. We then reviewed the food options. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. Wifey ordered her favorite Shrimp and Grits. We enjoyed our beers as we waited for the food to come out. The interior dining room was huge with seating everywhere. They also had a few tables setup for outside dining. TVs were mounted throughout the dining room, perfect for “Game Day. The food arrived and it looked and tasted delicious. We both loved our meals and wifey had enough to bring home. My meal did not survive. Jesse, our server, was very friendly and attentive. The manager also stopped by to check on us and asked if we needed anything. Overall, a very good...
Read moreWent for dinner at this location on a Saturday night. It was pretty crowded, but but the time I got there, there was only a 15 minute wait..and that's just about how long I waited to be seated. The hostess was professional and knew what she was talking about when I asked a couple of questions about the food on the menu. It's always a good thing when the employees speak well of the food. I must mention, while waiting, I noticed a wall with shelves and they were full of family games which you can take to your table to play. Genius. Maybe this was why there was a wait. Lol The very large restaurant was clean, and you could see the professionalism that all the employees worked with. The bar tender had his customers laughing and enjoying themselves at the bar. The waitress that waited on me..whose name was Ashlee, was top notch. I knew she may have been tired because I heard the restaurant had just been slammed with customers, but Ashlee did not show me any less service. She was efficient, knowledgeable about the food, patient, and I was impressed at the fact that she was able to balance a ton of drinks on one tray. lol I truly know she definitely was experienced, courteous, and provided service with a smile. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken fingers, cider collard greens, loaded french fries, and a sweet tea with lemon. Y'all that food was good. Everything was fresh and I ate until I got full. Lol Ashlee was kind enough to bring me a to-go box and offered me a sweet tea to go. I would recommend this location of Hobnob to my friends. Next time, I think I'll try the shrimp & grits....
