EDIT: The issue has been fixed! Shouts out to Mellow Mushroom for correcting the issue. I'll leave the review up because otherwise it almost feels like I'm censoring my content, I feel like it's only right to leave it up from an ethical perspective. But I now have ZERO issues with Mellow Mushroom. Go check them out, great food, great service. And clearly, they listen to their customers because the issue i was complaining about has since been corrected.
My issue is NOT with this particular location, but mellow mushroom in general, but it makes me review a specific location. But maybe the franchise owner will see this and tell corporate if enough people negatively review it.
My problem is it is literally impossible to order online. And I'm no expert, but it seems to me like fixing this should be a priority if you wanted to maximize profit for your business, because this issue is probably losing them tens of thousands of dollars per day, quite literally.
When you go to put in your payment info, it simply does not allow you to type anything and instead just shows the symbol for like a failed Java plug-in or something, but you can't type anything at all or add any form of payment.
After trying on two different browsers, and trying on both my phone and my laptop, I tried calling to place my order and they were like "you gotta do it online."
I was polite to the person on the phone because I don't ever believe in being rude to food service people who have absolutely nothing to do with the decisions of the corporation they happen to work for. I'm no Karen.
However, I definitely ordered from somewhere else when I hung up the phone and I won't be ordering from them in the future because of their carelessness because it's just too inconvenient to place a simple order. I hate apps like doordash and Uber, I only order from places directly via their website.
If corporate wants to fire their marketing/social media/web person and hire me instead, hmu. You'll see an instant and very sharp increase in...
Read moreAwful experience. The waitress mood was definitely not pleasant. First we were seated and it took someone all but 15 minutes to come over. We ordered drinks, mind you it was our first time dining there. We finally ordered our food. After she bought out the drinks, she didn't leave straws, so I asked her could we have a couple of straws, she never came back, I had to get up and get the straws myself. The food took a minute too come out, she never came back to check on us but one time, when she finally did, she gave my son one refill, never refilling or asked me did I want refill on my water. I watched as she was very attentive to the others customers. I did ask my son, did he want to go elsewhere, because the vibes were not good, he wanted pizza. After we finished our meal, it took the longest to get the check, I had to go up to ask for the check, apparently the waitress that waited on us was known by staff, to perhaps have an attitude, the young lady asked me where was my server at, she went and got the manager he came out, I explained my dining experience to him, and he was very apologetic. He even took care of the bill. When dining out it is important that you have a great dining experience, the food can be all of that, too die for, on point, but the customer service is important as well. What some restaurants need to understand, is that, you never know who's dining there, my son is a local artist/rapper, and it was our mom and son hang out Saturday. Only too to experience service that wasn't great at all. We won't ever go to that...
Read moreA recent visit to Mellow Mushroom in Dunwoody Village thoroughly impressed, which is why I go back once or twice a month! This location offers the perfect blend of laid-back vibes and good service, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal with friends or family. A well-stocked bar does nothing for me, but thoughtfully gives folks around here another option for happy hour.
First, let's talk about the pizza. Mellow Mushroom is known for its creative and delicious pizzas, and this location certainly does not disappoint. IMO, you simply cannot go wrong with a MM pizza, whichever one you choose. Our fave is the Mighty Meaty. The Sausage Fest Calzone is amazing, too.
The menu also offers a wide variety of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. We frequently enjoy the Enchanted Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken and champagne apple dressing. The Meatball Hoagie is a favorite as well—and don’t be afraid to order the Mushroom Club, an off-menu delight.
The ambiance is exactly what you expect from a Mellow Mushroom: vibrant, quirky, and inviting. The Dunwoody Village location has a relaxed but lively atmosphere, with colorful artwork and a cozy interior that makes you feel right at home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to check in on us throughout the meal, which adds to the overall positive experience.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Mellow Mushroom in Dunwoody Village is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for creative, high-quality pizza and a fun...
