I frequent this Starbucks weekly, as my daughter takes classes in town and we live an hour away. I appreciate that this location is open until 8pm on weeknights. On my most recent visit, I arrived at 6 to find the pastry case completely cleared of food, although their products were still available in the back. I was able to order a sandwich and coffee and find an empty table as many tables were in use. I had intended to stay until 7:45, as my daughters class ends at 8:00, however the barista walked up to my table at 7:30 and told me that they were now closed. When I referenced the posted hours she informed me that it was a misprint and they leave at 8pm. Who has heard of a business that posts the time that the employees leave, rather than the time that customers can access the products? As someone who once worked in a coffee shop, the expectation was that you lock the door at closing time and complete closing at that time, not 30 minutes before. In my previous experiences at this location, the baristas offered a 10 and 5 minute warning til closing at 7:50 and 7:55. Perhaps this Starbucks should consider reprinting their hours or providing customer service training for the barista who may be costing the owners...
