Edit: I just found out that they aren't willing to do the right thing so they refuse to serve me instead. Obviously, integrity isn't a dominant trait of the management. Previous review: I just left the place after visiting to speak with a member of the owning family. There was an issue with policy violating a law that has nothing to do with public safety. He informed me that he has been alerted to the problem and that he has looked into it. He described his solution and I can say with integrity that it would have been acceptable if it were implemented. The sad thing is that they haven't solved the problem so I'll tell you what it is. You should look at the price you pay versus the price that the menu said you would pay. The violation is a version of fraudulent business practices. They were, and might still be, charging a 3% upcharge if you use credit or debit. The solution would have been to print new menus with higher prices and implement a cash discount. With this solution, there is no fraud and there is no violation of law. In Oklahoma, a customer cannot legally be charged a fee for using a credit or debit card. There is no law against cash discounts. Magnolia Café has been doing it the right way for years but Jalapenos has chosen to resist compliance. For this reason, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal...

We arrived for lunch shortly after noon on January 16, 2014. There were very few customers. We were unenthusiastically greeted and shown to a booth. We ordered appetizers and entrees and a gentleman brought us a basket of cold chips and salsa. Our appetizers came quickly- a bowl of luke-warm queso and a small bowl of guacamole salad. the queso was bland and cold. The guacamole was merely mashed avacados. No spice or anything else. Just mashed avacados. Not even salt.

Our entrees were delivered very quickly. They were cold. Cold enchiladas, refried beans, rice, etc. They might have been acceptable had they been hot. I pushed my plate aside and made a lunch of cold chips and salsa. When the check came, we told the server that the food was cold. She asked if we wanted her to heat it. I told her that we were now ready to leave and it was a little late for that now. She just left the check and walked away.

The cashier asked me if everything was ok. I told here no and that the food was cold. She said "oh," and told me the total for the check.

Overall, this was terrible. If you want Mexican food in Durant, I'm confident that you can do better elsewhere. I know there's a Taco Bell. At least the food...

The service and food has went way down in the years it’s starting to become the many restaurants in Durant that don’t give a dam about their customers when they first open many many years ago it was very good I came back to Durant area today and stopped in to get my favorite food from there the ALOHA FAJITAS the chip guy was on top of his game the other waiters wasn’t they brought food out I was eating I looked up and there was flys all over my guacamole, sour cream, beans and rice when I said something I got the usually IM SORRY ABOUT THAT like I haven’t heard that a million times before (if they allow flys in the sitting area just imagine in the kitchen where no one can see) then I asked for a to go box and I got a SURE ILL GET THAT FOR YA after watching the waiter seat 4 more people I finally asked again and got my to go box as when went to pay there was people waiting to pay and people waiting to sit they was to worried about the people that needed a set before the paying customers definitely will not be going back to that fly invested building the health department needs to investigate before...

Complimentary chips and salsa. Chips have good flavor 👍🏻👍🏻 salsa good 👍🏻👍🏻 queso is $5 for a small and we hardly put a dent in it… it was tasty though 👍🏻👍🏻 sopapillas $2 ea…I’d pass on these 👎🏻 Beans 👍🏻 Rice is meh 🫤 Ground beef is good 👍🏻👍🏻 Ranchera sauce 👎🏻 Guac 👍🏻 Pico 🫤🥵 Chimichanga 👍🏻 Overall the food is good 👍🏻👍🏻 Service… she didn’t bother to check on us but was easy to stop her walking past to ask for things we needed🫤 Atmosphere kinda crowded, kinda smokey from all the fajitas ( eyes kinda burned the whole time in there, ventilation could use some work ) Would eat here over Panaderia Villegas. We’ll be back for sure to try out some other things.

This is an outdated restaurant. The sign is old, made it appear like it wasn't in business. There is a breakfast place Magnolia across the street, that place had full parking so we came here instead, I'm glad we did. Salsas have a good spicy kick to them, nachos are a good portion, great flavor, and the beans taste homemade, not from a can. Beef and chicken fajitas with grilled veggies/onions are a good portion, too. We couldn't finish it, so we had leftovers. Chips are fresh, I'm assuming they make them there. They didn't taste like the tortilla chips that are sold in a bag. We will be going back again to try the frozen margaritas.

My first time trying out this restaurant my family and I thought we might try out the specials. I placed an order for takeout, which was fresh and quickly made. While my meal was MISSING an enchilada, the shredded beef enchiladas were pretty tasty. The chile relleno is not breaded and kind of upset my husband, but still really tasty as well. The ABSOLUTE BEST was the Texoma Quesadillas! My 12 year old picked them and was also very pleased. This place does have some of the best salsa out there, it’s excellent. Would probably recommend dining in, over taking out though.
