Whataburger — Restaurant in Durant

UPDATE: Today is 10/18/25- arrived at 9:45 am and ordered a Breakfast on a Bun. Sat trapped in the drive thru 45 minutes and recieved a Luke warm Breakfast on a Bun. There is something terribly wrong with Whataburger Durant, not sure if it's staff or management but the drive thru wait is ridiculous. It's the only Whataburger I have been to that is so poorly managed time wise. Do better Whataburger!

Drive thru is extremely slow. I was there this morning at 7:15 am just to get coffee before taking a roadtrip. Sat behind the same 3 cars for 20 minutes awaiting my order, couldn't get out because 6 cars were behind me, I finally called the restaurant and was told the person in the first car had ordered grilled chicken and that's was the hold up. I do not understand why Whataburger allows persons to sit at a window waiting for grilled chicken to be cooked instead of asking them to pull over to the side and bring it to them when it's finished instead of holding up a line. When I finally got my cup of coffee I had been held captive in that line 30 minutes. This has got to change this is the worst Whataburger I think I've ever been in my life and I think it's because of the management as well as some of the staff at the window go so slow they're pretty much...

This location needs more employees or something. All the employees are working hard and trying to get things done as fast as they can but it seems to be a high-volume location. The location of this particular Whataburger really stink too. It's hard to come and go . Parking is easy because its in an open area on the other side of the drive-thru & entrance/Exit. The difficulty of navigation thru without getting hit or vice versa is something I dont know why they havent done a single thing to help with. A big part of all this there is a strip mall and a Sonic right tere in the same area. One of the biggest things to me that is a problem (because ive lived in this area for 10+ years now) is the fact that there is a big crater in the road on your way out. And its just gotten bigger as the years go by. The other issue is the drive-thru exit is only maybe 25 feet before you have to turn ,brake , and turn again because people are coming in the entrance kinda blind because the way the road is and half of the time the they are going too fast.

WITH ALL OF THIS SAID... THE FOOD IS GREAT. This location is super busy and just needs a couple of things to make it more pleasant to get to and have...

We waited 20-25 minutes for two cold hamburgers. The onion rings were hot but a little too breaded. I’m guessing that they just let the cooked hamburgers sit until they got around to the onion rings. But that’s not acceptable. This was my first time going to a Whataburger and while I recognize that they were very busy tonight, it really seems like they don’t know what they were doing. The outside car line was really slow and people before us were all waiting a really long time. They were well staffed. More employees than customers. There was no line when we walked in. But one began to form about 10-15 minutes later. Potential customers came in and saw the long line of cars, the long order line, and how many people were standing around waiting for their orders and they turned around and left.

Oh, and the bathroom was not kept up. I do not recommend...
