From the moment you step inside Tokyo Hibachi and Sushi in Durant, Oklahoma, you’re instantly transported into a culinary sanctuary where every detail hums with excellence. This place isn't just a restaurant — it's a revelation. The energy, the artistry, the flavors — everything is dialed to eleven. Let’s talk hibachi. The chefs here are performers, artists with steel spatulas, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of flames, flipping shrimp, and precision-cut filet mignon that sizzles with buttery perfection. It's dinner and a show, but not the kitschy kind — it’s authentic, captivating, and flawlessly executed. The steak melts like silk, the chicken is juicy beyond reason, and the fried rice? An umami-packed masterpiece with smoky depth and just the right kiss of soy. And then, there’s the sushi — oh, the sushi. Each roll is a jaw-dropping balance of flavor and craftsmanship. The fish is impossibly fresh, the rice seasoned with perfect acidity, and the plating? Instagram-worthy without even trying. The Durant Roll is a showstopper, the Rainbow Roll a technicolor dream, and the spicy tuna? A knockout punch of heat and richness that leaves you grinning between bites. But what truly elevates Tokyo Hibachi and Sushi above the rest is the vibe. The staff treat you like royalty — attentive but never intrusive, warm without being scripted. The space hums with happy chatter, clinking glasses, and the low, satisfying sizzle from the hibachi grill. It’s the kind of place where first dates become anniversaries and casual dinners become unforgettable nights. Five stars doesn’t cut it. Tokyo Hibachi and Sushi is a 10-out-of-5, mic-drop, absolutely-can’t-miss dining experience. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur, a hibachi enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates food that’s cooked with soul, this spot will ruin every other Japanese restaurant for you — in the best possible way.

In all my years of doing reviews for Google I have only witnessed one location, now two, that just did NOT have a saving grace. Let's start off waiting 19 minutes to be seated as the staff was busy talking on the phone to a friend. Next let's move on to the grease covered cups and silverware. Absolutely the worst staff in over 1800 locations I have had serve us. We had finger flippings, female staff giving male staff lap dances. Oh and let's not forget them putting on a 18+ movie in the background. No refills on any drinks, no questions asked about why we didn't touch more than a few bites off of each plate. Absolutely no professionalism in the entire store! Now the food... The most Americanized garbage I have had. But that's expected in southern Oklahoma. The miso is nothing more than bullion in water. Period There was more ginger dressing than salad in the side salad. The Salmon sashimi was butchered and bruised before it ever made it to the table. For 15$ I would expect Grade A fish . The grill food was just simply there. No wowing of flavors about the same quality of ingredients as the frozen PFChang 🤷🏻‍♀️ Best thing was the white rice, perfectly done. I used to go here all the time when they first opened up but I have been gone from the area for 9yrs. I used to eat here every week it was so good and the chef was amazing. Now tho .... Cheap knock off

Hell no we won’t be back. Ordered single tall Captain Morgan with diet, was brought a full glass of Captain Morgan. Single tall obviously means I don’t like them strong. Eventually got 3 drinks over the hour + meal, was charged for 5 additional shots per drink at $3 each. Most definitely wouldn’t be standing to pay my tab if I had had 18 shots in an hour and a half! (5’3” 140lb female). Went to straighten it out and was told not to ever order “drinks that aren’t on the menu” again… as if that ridiculous “ILLEGAL” mistake was my problem. FYI, according to ABLE Commission not more than 2 drinks or 2 shots can be served to a single person. A drink with 6- 1.5oz shots is highly illegal! They continued to argue that I drank that… as if 9oz of liquor could even fit in this glass with ice and diet soda. It took being belittled by the manager and told not to ever order a basic drink there again to get it taken off my $170 tab. Won’t happen again!

I travel for work, and love Hibachi. I was coming in to Durant for an appointment, and I decided to call Tokyo 30 minutes ahead of time, so I could stop and get a togo order. I had read the reviews and was slightly skeptical, as they were not good reviews. But, I decided to give it a shot, and since it was a to go order, I figured it would be just fine. Especially, with a 30 minute call ahead. Well I arrived at the restaurant, and no one was at the front, and so I waited a short while. A gentleman, then finally came to help me, but he could not find my order. He said he was not the person that took the order, and so would check in the kitchen. I decided to go use the restroom while he was checking. When I came back to the counter, the gentleman that was going to check was nowhere to be found. At this point, I was running short on time. I figured with 30 minutes notice, they would have my order ready. Then another guy came and told me that it was not ready. I asked him how long it would take, and he said anywhere from 10-15 minutes. I asked him, if he could just throw some chicken and rice in a box to make it quick, and I could go. Then he sarcastically said "the rice and chicken don't cook themselves." I was so embarrassed and upset. I just told him, nevermind and walked out. I cannot imagine spending my money at a place like this. I would have become their faithful customer when I was in the area, if I had better treatment; but now I will never come back. I hope this review helps someone, and they don't have to go through what I...
