Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Durham

I want to start by emphasizing that I reached out to Chuck E. Cheese's management directly to address our terrible experience before posting this review. I believe in giving companies a chance to make things right , but unfortunately, our experience was so horrendous and ignored that I feel it's necessary to share it publicly. We recently celebrated my grandson’s third birthday at Chuck E. Cheese, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Despite having used Chuck E. Cheese for multiple parties in the past, this was by far the worst experience. To begin with, Chuck E. Cheese refused to honor the package we had paid for over 10 days in advance. The manager claimed that the package had changed after our purchase, and we spent a significant amount of time arguing about it. This was incredibly frustrating and set a negative tone for the entire event. The lack of a dedicated party host was another major issue. With no one assigned to oversee our party, everything was disorganized. We had to chase down staff members to get any of the services or items included in our package. The food was a major problem—after an excessively long wait, most of it arrived burnt. By the time it was served, most of the children had already left, disappointed by the delay. The Dippin' Dots were another letdown, arriving long after they were promised. We repeatedly asked about Chuck E. Cheese's appearance, food service, and ice cream, but received no timely responses. To top it all off, the staff was not only rude but also engaged in discriminatory behavior, which is absolutely unacceptable in 2024. Chuck E. Cheese not only failed to deliver on their promises but also condoned racism, making the experience even more painful. Despite being offered free coupons as compensation, I can’t imagine returning to a place that treated our family so poorly on such a special occasion. I strongly advise avoiding Chuck E. Cheese for any events. Their failure to deliver on their commitments, combined with their unacceptable conduct, makes them an unreliable and troubling choice for celebrating...

DONT GO HERE!! THE WORST CHUCK E CHEESE EXPIRENCE IN MY LIFEEEEEE!!!! The staff were rude and the enviornment was dirty and EVERYTHING was sooo over priceddd!! I ordered large boneless wings a med. Cheese pizza and 2 churro things that was $65 WASTE OF MONEY!! And when my son asked for plates, they said they didny give plates meanwhile the party tables had plates me and y kids had to eat our food from the pans like ANIMALS!! For 4 kids 2hrs unlimited play was $175 and when one of my kids went to get prizes all the staff behind the desk just looked at her and didnt assist her.

When her brother went seperately the man joked about making chuck E dump his face in a cake and sayin that he was married to chuck E my child was very disturbed from these inappropiate jokes made by staff when all he asked was to see how many points he had. He also claimed that he played soo many games gained so many points from what the machine said just to go to the desk and not even have 200 points on his card NOT EVEN 150!!! He had 134 points been playin non stop for 2hrs barely got any prizes as those were overpriced as well.

This was my first time in a chuck E cheese after 3-4 years and my first time at the durham location this place is just a scam. My kids couldnt even hug chuck E when he came out we were told we had to PAY JUST FOR A HUGGG!!! Also the whole vibe from the parents and older kids there was horrible. All i wanted to do was spend a day out with the kids now im goin home ROBBED OF ALMOST $300!!! NEVER AGAIN. IF YOURE THINKING YOUR EXPIRENCE WILL BE DIFFERENT DONT EVEN CHANCE IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The staff not only looked at my kids crazy and rude but me as well when i would go to the front HORRIBLE TIME. The ONLY thing that would make me satisfied is a refund, NOT...

I do not recommend this location. This was my first time ever going to a chucke cheeses and I went july 19th 2025 for my daughter's 6th birthday. I paid for the mega party pack. When I asked the man " lorenzo" or either " lonzo" what special things the birthday girl gets because it did not seem like she was being treated " special" this man looked me dead in my faced and said " what's so special about her" I was HEATED and walked off before i said things i didnt want to say!. Our dedicated " party host" was not dedicated , wasnt communicating good and talked too low for me to even understand half the things on what to expect with our birthday experience. She didnt explain to my daughter how the ticket blaster works and my baby got so stressed and cried when was told she didnt win any tickets. Because of her lack of explanation.( my baby didn't know what to do either. she was rushed over while I was still putting our cake up that Noone got to eat) I was rushed to serve dipping dots. I was rushed to cut and serve the cake, I was rushed to leave. I was under the impression of a birthday show being for our party only but found out that 3 other parties got it too and my daughter didnt even get to participate. everyone elses kids was hogging chucke and the floor. There was so much lack of communication it was very stressful and I did not enjoy this experience. The manager/ supervisor did discount a little off my bill ($20) and allowed her to play the ticket blaster again. Not to mention the food prices!!! Pizzas are very small even for a large, the salad bar was very bare and had nothing harldy on it for a $11.99 salad. I simply do not recommend this location to ANYONE!! The experience is not worth...
