I don’t write reviews often but I wanted to add a review in hopes that someone in management will see this. I went to the milklab at the southpoint location on Friday afternoon. I was with my two very cranky small kids, trying to find them something to drink so I decided to try this place. I have never been to a milk lab in my life, so by just glancing at the pictures and reading what I could (as both my kids were yelling for my attention) I couldn’t really figure out what options they had so when I went up to the counter and I asked kindly the person a few questions, but I was met with someone who gave me a blank stare, said as few words as she possibly could to explain anything, and overall made me feel like she was annoyed to be there or to be talking to me. She was rude, unkind, and unwilling to help, even though she saw me struggling with my two kids. After I ordered the drink, I received an iced drink and of course my kids wanted a hot drink, so I went back up to read the menu and I didn’t see anything on there that indicated that these were all iced. So I went back up to the counter and asked if these drinks also come hot, and again she rudely answered no. I was annoyed that it wasn’t clear that my almost $7 drink was going to be an iced drink, but I didn’t say anything about it. I walked away for two minutes, my kid is having a meltdown because they want their own cup, so I go back up to ask for a empty water up or whatever, so I can split the drink, and the girl says to me “yes, it’s $1.07”. At that point I just walk off annoyed at the whole experience. I hope someone there reads this and talks to their employees to not be a-holes to their customers specially when they are spending a ridiculous amount of money on their drinks. Have some compassion and learn customer service skills. Never going there...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but it just wasn't great. Basically everything is overly sweet. They serve up the drinks in layers but you can't shake the containers to mix because they don't use vacuum sealed lids, and the bigger sized cups are such a small diameter at the bottom that it's really challenging to stir. Sometimes you'll end up getting a sip of pure milk or straight syrup, very unpleasant.
The taro fruit milk was essentially a milkshake, it was really sweet and thick.
The milk tea was subpar in my opinion, it did not have the rich tea flavor I was expecting, and was quite sweet.
Finally, the tropical fruit tea had a strong chemical flavor, the majority of the flavor came from an artificial flavoring (from the jelly add-in maybe?) rather than the fresh fruit, very disappointing.
The best drink in my opinion was the strawberry milk, but I couldn't help but feel that I could make the same thing at home with 5 minutes and blender for less than half of what they charged.
I did love the customer service and I appreciated that I could get boba on the side, but unfortunately I won't be going back to this location for boba...
Read moreTried the strawberry matcha and ngl it wasn't great. There was way too much matcha leading to a severely bitter drink and when we mixed it the texture of the strawberry puree?? Was very disruptive. Luckily I was on a date so I got the dalgona latte I believe and my date got the strawberry matcha because we both love matcha but we wanted to try the dalgona one I've never had before so we both ended up devouring mine instead. So like if you have sensory issues like the both of us definitely don't get that strawberry matcha, but the dalgona one is really yummy. The customer service was nothing special tbh it's just the standard what can I get ya? It's gonna be $__. stuff nothing crazy. It was really loud in there which isn't their fault tbh but it's hard to hear each other over everyone in this food court situation,...
