When I arrived this morning to purchase something to eat, I was greeted like normal. I arrived at the first window and no one was there. I noticed that the person in front of me had left. They had ordered something and decided not to take it with them. Then after I received my food I was asked to pay. I thought they were going to just give it to me for a second. Turns out they never charge my card and took my card and then decided not to give me a receipt. So I asked for a receipt. They made something up on a receipt about what I had ordered. Then they handed me back a receipt with some sort of fake order on it. I threw all of the food away. I wasn't sure if the place was clean or not after they had mishandled my entire order and took almost two minutes to produce a paper receipt. I was also kind of upset at the fact that my McGriddle sausage had some sort of white spot on both sides of it. It wasn't like they spit on it, but more or less like they touched something and then touched my order. The order looks thrown together and it was as though somebody decided to reuse somebody else's old order who left. I know that they didn't know who I was because they asked me about the ladies order in front of me that I saw on the screen before I ordered mine. This place seems to go up and down all the time: sometimes there's good people and sometimes there's not. I guess I won't be back here forever at this point. I would like to say that they would change but I think I've said that at least four different times in the last 6 years because I live here and not because I'm a visitor. I understand that high turnovers I turn over and sometimes people go to college and sometimes people move away but it seems to me for this place sometimes people just need to get out of their own way and go away and new people need to come in. The problem is it doesn't seem like that entire strip of highway 55 can find anybody to stick around long enough because. Well, they have a problem with the people that live around in that area and I understand that because there are a lot of homeless people in that area I get it. Unfortunately there's a lot of people that live there that have lived there for a while or even a long time as well. So if nobody wants to actually staff this place correctly great, but if they also have a problem finding the staff,...

This particular McDonald's is run like a rusted creaky cart pulled by a broken down stuborn mule.
Employees appear to be on a Thorazine drip. Expect very long (10-15min.) drive through wait times while they are lovingly preparing each and every item, made to order...except that when you finally get your order it's (a) cold. (b) wrong, (c) incomplete, Or (d) Cold, wrong and incomplete. I was once told they could not give me a soda because they were out of medium sized cups; asking to change the order to a small or a large was met by confusion. "But we've already made your food. What do we do with the medium size?"
Ordering from the counter is even more daunting. Employees moving around in slow random directions with confused and frustrated looks on their faces. If you can finally snap them out of a cup or soda straw counting trance long enough to get your order in, great! But your troubles have just started. Plan on ten to fifteenth minute wait while they hand your order off to a drive through customer that inevitably returns a few minutes later to point out the error (and thus reboots that customers journey through the land of incompetence.) At this point the workers redouble their very concerted effort to miss yet another chance at success and end up forgeting to cook the fries before serving them...again.
For such a franchise as McDonald's that has a four inch thick book of time tested procedures, this is just amazing. If you ever have extra time and would like to witness a undeniably exquisite display of incompetency, stop on by one day and gaze upon this spectacle. It's like watching a fifty car pile up in slow motion. Filmed sideways.
You go to this McDonald's location for the experience, not the food.
Maybe they are make a reality hidden camera t.v. show...
Read moreI don't want to be petty, but sometimes my kids and I enjoy having a Mcflurry after having dinner near this Mcdonalds. I've gone there three separate times and each time their ice cream machine was down. Now having a business myself I am very understanding that sometimes machines can and do fail. But three visits in a row? Mind you I did not go there three days in a row. The visits were three separate visits probably about two or three weeks apart. At my last visit my nine year old said: "I bet their machine is broken" and yup he was right. I got so annoyed because if a machine is out of service then it should be repaired or replaced. I am not upset that I don't get to eat a McFlurry, but it just comes down to inconvenience. Waiting in drive through just to have them tell me that the machine is down 3 separate visits is annoying! I got fed up so I called their customer service number on the window. Guess what? No one ever called me back. I dont think they really care about customer complaints! Before this last visit, I did not want to waste my time so I tried to call the Mcdonalds to see if their machine was working and no one picked up the phone for 15 minutes. In fact, no once picked up the phone at all! On the other hand I was at a Chick-fil-a drive through during lunch time yesterday. When I got up to the window the manager said: "sir you waited too long, so this order is on us". I told him that it was alright and that the wait REALLY wasn't that long and I want to pay for the order. He just thanked me and said your money is not good with us. Now that is customer service! Hmmm next time I am hungry for any fast food do you think I will choose McD's or Chick-fil-a. If any one has access to chick-fil-a training manual please post it here because I think all businesses could use a little...
