I never post reviews, but after our experience here I had to this time.
My partner said she wanted Outback for dinner, so we decided to go to Outback. We don't typically eat out and this was a special event for us and our daughter had never been before.
Let me start off by saying the good things.
The wait staff was nice, and the atmosphere was okay. it's what you'd generally expect from Outback Steakhouse.
We ordered a blooming onion for the appetizer, and that was good. However everything after that was bad.
She ordered a filet mignon with lobster meal and dug into it. The mignon was ordered Medium, however she recieved one of the rarest pieces of meat I've personally seen served in a restaurant. She got questionable about it halfway through eating it and it was frankly obvious that wasn't what she had ordered. I took a bite to try it because it's a $30 meal. We thought we were okay at first but after 10 minutes we both started to feel it in our stomachs that this was bad.
I ordered the Outback Burger as Ive done in the past at other Outbacks, medium rare as I tend to agree with medium rare. My burger came out kind of cold, the cheese wasn't even melted. The burger itself looked intact but when I picked it up to eat it started to fall apart as a bland mushy substance. I tried to eat it and the more bites I took the more I hated it. I got 5 bites in around the edges before I told myself it's time to stop before I get sick.
I didn't say anything to my partner at the time about how unsatisfactory and questionable the burger was. But she went to the bathroom and ended up vomitting. When she came back she told me the food was making her sick. So we just decided to stop eating and we waited for the server to come with our check.
Our daughter barely ate her mac-and -cheese kids meal, and she openly stated that the fries were way too salty.
We spent $90 on the food, tipped the waitstaff 18% because it's not their fault the food was bad. We aren't the kind of people to make a fuss, we both just felt physically bad and wanted to get back home before it got worse.
On the ride home my partner started to vomit even more in a bag. My stomach started to hurt too. We had to stop at a gas station to clean up and vomit some more. By the time we got home 45 minutes later we both started having diarrhea on top of nausea and are concerned we managed to contract food poisoning from dinner here.
The experience was upsetting as we drove almost an hour to eat a good meal, became sick from said meal, and vomited on the drive home. In my opinion we paid for quality over quanity and we did not recieve quality food from this place outside of the Blooming Onion itself.
Now that I'm done writing this I've got to go vomit and tend...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience. The location wasn't busy at all and we started off with a long wait time, for any service. When the server finally arrived, she was grumpy, but reasonably polite.
We ordered food, one steak arrived freezing cold and was sent back straight away. It arrived back, a tad warm, but not like it should've typically been. the baked potato looked like it was smothered in oil, looked and tasted old. We began to "eat"
Out other steak, was also just warm, but was very hard to cut even with a steak knife, it was not any sinue it was just hard. I then moved onto my baked potato and on my 2nd bite, I felt something hard in my mouth, It need broken my tooth off. I took it out, only to find a "SCREW" in the food. I called the server to call the manager.
She finally arrived after 5 minutes and I showed her the issue, to which she apologized. I told her I felt sick and wanted to throw up just thinking that this was in my mouth about to be swallowed. I told her that I would not be paying for the food and that I would be leaving. She said that was ok to do that. I asked her if it was her what would she have done/said, I was told that she would've told the server and asked for a replacement.
Her attitude towards me and my family was condescending and damn right rude. I asked her if this was her would she pay for it, to which I was told "yes". Her approach to it was non caring, didn't give a crap.
Either way, I asked her does she want me to pay for it, to be told, "well you dont wanna pay for it, so what can I do" If I was in her shoes, I would've have shown some empathy, and telling my customers that this issue would be dealt with swiftly, with nothing to pay.
So, I ask.. Bad food, Metal Screws in customers food. What kind of operation is being ran there?
I feel ill.
this was my first, and now last experience at outback, I will never go again. I have also logged a...
Read moreWe stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Initial service was good with one server taking orders while other staff brought our drinks and appetizers. When ordering the server had challenges finding the special appetizer. She seemed to be frustrated and said she had to check with her manager. I then ordered my entree. We thought all was fine until we realized after approximately 30 minutes we were not receiving our orders. After getting the attention of the server (who was spending an extra amount of time at another table), we finally received our salads and appetizer. Special request for salads were not met and we asked the server to please correct. We finished our salads and appetizer. After 10-15 minutes we had to ask if they forgot our soup/chili. Again she said she had to check. It finally came. We finished and waited again for an extended period of time for our entrees. When it finally came the server came over and asked if all was good. They only delivered 3 of the 4 meals. I responded to her they forgot my meal. She looked at her tablet and said I never ordered anything. All 4 of us quickly corrected her and said I indeed ordered the same as my other family members except I wasn’t sharing it with anyone. She went to check in the kitchen and said she failed to place the order. She offered to submit the order. I replied we already waited too long just to get our initial order. I would estimate it took over 1 hour. I declined and said I would get something down the road. The manager did apologize and offered a gift card. In summary, if the server would have repeated the order back to us after we gave our order this error would never...
