Went in with two unused gift cards. Literally scratched them off at the counter in front of the guy. First one had $5, and it was taken off the total. Second card swiped and he said it had nothing on it. I asked how that was possible if both were brand new and scratched in front of him, and the first one had a balance on it. He said he didn't know but the second one didn't take. I explained I can't afford the order without the gift cards and just asked if the first card would have its balance returned so I can come back later when I can afford it with just one card. The guy told me no, it wouldnt, and that I'd have to come back the next day. I told him that I can't do that because subway themselves on the card state that I need receipts for purchases that get refunded to the card, and since there is no transaction, there is no receipt, and he is basically telling me the money on the card is gone now. He just kept telling me to come back tomorrow and he doesn't know what he's doing. If you don't know what you're doing, lead with that. And maybe tell the customer that before they swipe cards. I've worked across various different retail and restaurant settings, and this isn't how gift cards work. If a transaction doesn't go through, it's supposed to be refunded to the card. But guess what I can't even check the balance of because subway has made the number for checking balances just voicemail to go to the website, and the website currently has a 404 on the gift card page, which isn't the same one on the back of the card anymore? That's right, the gift card. So this business will swipe your gift card and drain the balance, then refuse to tell you whether or not the money will get sent back to your card if you cancel the transaction. Don't take tender you don't know how to process. Don't blame your "new machine" that looks like it's been there for months with the amount of scratches on the POS system I could see from the other side of the counter. It's your incompetence, not mine. And because of it I'm out the money presumably on both these cards because now I have very little reason to believe the second card had a zero balance over the possibility he has so little idea what he was doing and didn't process the second card right. It did take him three tries to get the first one to work after all. I'm not coming back. I'm not recommending anyone to this franchise. I literally just wanted a meal so I didn't go hungry today. But somehow y'all managed to make a worse outcome than just not being able to afford the food and having to walk away from a sandwich that is made to order and likely now sitting in the trash. Good job holding onto the reputation of being a shitty sandwich shop. Next time I'll save myself the aneurysm and...
Read moreI just wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude for randomly canceling my order without any prior notification. It was truly a heartwarming experience, and I can't thank you enough for adding a touch of chaos to my day.
I was looking forward to a delicious meal, only to find out that my mobile order magically disappeared into thin air. The suspense and surprise factor really added an exciting twist to my day – who needs food, right? The only notice I received was, "Hi, your delivery from Subway has been modified or canceled. Please reach out to them directly for more information."
I can't express how much I appreciate your proactive approach to keeping me on my toes. I must admit, I've always longed for a game of "Guess why your order was canceled" and you've made that dream a reality. And telling me to contact the store when I'm hungry and cranky is just brilliant!
Thanks again for the unexpected plot twist in my dinner plans! Your dedication to keeping life interesting is truly unparalleled.

Read moreToday, I ask for a tuna sub with mayo, onions, spinach, tomato and cheese on wheat bread. I go a sub that had to be sitting around because the bread was hard, a spoon full of tuna that was spreaded across the sub, it look like someone counted the spinach leafs and onions. I got more bread than tuna, the lemonade had no ice and stale chips. I called and spoke with the manager, he tells me to leave my job, bring the sandwich back for him to look at and he would make me another one. I said, sir I am already back at work, I came on my lunch break. He said save the sandwich and bring back so I can see it. I told him, I will not keep a tuna sub in my office until 5pm to bring back to you. The best I can do is not go back. The manager, disregarded the fact, I was on lunch break, disregarded the fact I used gas to come to your business, disregarded the fact I spent money at your business and the least you could do is day bring your receipt back and I will replace your entire meal for your time and support to my business. Will not go to this...
