To state that this service was phenmonal, eye-opening and extremely touching would be an absolute understatement. Experiences such as these are why I love the south, and why I love its people of hospitatlity. I am currently deployed overseas, and I called ahead to see about reserving my fiancee a table on her birthday. She had a terrible day, and me not being there to support her going through a hard day, of all days on her day, made me seek a solution to making it better for her. Abe's answered the call on that. I spoke to a nice lady on the phone about the situation, with me being overseas, and how I wanted to guarantee her a table and allow her any special treatment she wanted and that I would cover all costs regardless of the cost to ensure she received a remarkable night. Abe's welcomed her, my daughter , and her parents very warmly, and informed my fiancee that her entire meal was on the owner. Abe, the owner, then walked over and chatted with my fiancee and daughter, informed them that whatever they wanted to eat or drink was on the house. They even tried not allowing my fiancee to tip, of course of which is non-negotiable. The food was, as I was informed, delicious. My fiancee talked about it constantly of how it was the best steak for miles around. My lady loves steak, and Abe's did not disappoint, nor did they allow my family to return home without a full stomach and to-go boxes. Thank you Abe and family, we will absolutely be returning, we would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who enjoys respectable southern hospitality, a great steak and a family environment. Bless you all for making my better half's night amazing, it made me being gone a little bit easier to...

However, the establishment appeared and smelled VERY far from fine dining; (reminded me of a Piccadilly restaurant after church on Sunday) and was nowhere near worth the price tag of the dishes served. Food: The oysters (served as a 6-count) and mac & cheese were okay, but my [not bacon wrapped] filet mignon tasted like watered-down, bland, burnt meat. There was absolutely NO seasoning (not even salt), no butter, absolutely nothing. My filet mignon was charred/burnt on one side and we all know that once meat is burned, nothing removes/replaces the burnt taste. My husband’s ribeye was also beyond bland as was his vegetable medley. We received butter when we were seated, but received a small loaf of bread following our entrees—which my husband said tasted like Colonial brand bread. Lastly, salads do not come with the steaks. A tad bit disappointed, but maybe my expectations...
Read moreAfter hearing advertisements on the radio for a long time, my family and I visited this place for the first time, having high expectations. We were seated promptly. After about 10 minutes a server came to our table and took our drink order and food order, since we had plenty of time to look at the menu. Our drinks and appetizers came in a reasonable amount of time. But we waited a long time for our meal. We had the $38 Bone In Ribeye, $34 Porterhouse, and $17 Pineapple Glazed Chicken. The food came out hot. The 2 steaks were each a little overcooked and needed more seasoning. The chicken was good as were all the sides. For dessert we ordered bread pudding and fried bread pudding. Each was quite tasty. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours and 20 minutes; much longer than expected. Much of the time was spent waiting on our meal. It was a Friday night but it wasn't overly busy. Sadly, it wasn't a good...
