When I looked up coffee near me, Kevista popped up. I I love stopping by new joints everyday so Kevista was today's pick. It was a 6 minute drive from my house so it was a quick trip there.
When GPS directed me to this joint, the directions seemed like I have been here before. I remember it being the Alchemist coffee shop the last time I was here. It is in such a perfect location, I love Eagle. The perfect little shop at the end of the strip. Next to all the trees and shade. It's quite the setting.
Walking in, this joint just warmed my heart! This little shop looks so fun and welcoming! The colors, the piano and the swing chairs in front on the windows. Swing chairs are my favorite part about this joint. How unique and creative. I simply love the venue!
I was greeted by a cutie behind the counter. She was smashing out an order and told me she would be right with me. I told her to take her time. After she got the customer ahead of me squared away, she happily took my order. I got my usual, a small iced americano with sugar salted caramel with room for cream. I went and looked around while she was working on my drink.
She had the cream ready for me when she handed me my drink. I poured my some half half and made my way outside. I love all the tables they have under the big trees. It's such a comfortable space. There's potted plants and so much shade. I sipped on my drink and just enjoyed the moment. It was so relaxing.
My americano was....... ok. It was a little too watered down. So the espresso wasn't as balanced with the cream and syrup. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't the best. Even though my coffee didn't quite hit the spot, the customer service and venue sure did make make up for it! The barista was so sweet. The setting was amazing! I can see myself coming back and grabbing another coffee. I can also see myself enjoying it on a chair swing in front of the window. I look...
Read moreI’m pretty sure my previous review was deleted so I’m reposting.
My bf and I visited this coffee shop for the first time, the staff were friendly at first but then we started to ask questions about the menu and the drinks. There are NO prices on the menus which makes it extremely difficult to just pick something and order, I asked the girl for the prices and she got mad because I accidentally asked for the price of something out of stock and gave me a bit of attitude.
The burrito I end up getting was a whole $12, which you’d think means the food’s quality is good or it’s cooked in house. Unfortunately the burrito is pretty small, dry, and definitely premade the day before and reheated to serve. It didn’t taste very flavorful, it did not make up for the price.
The coffee was pretty good, definitely their only strong suit, about the same price as other corporate coffee places just a little bit smaller of a cup size. It was loud and packed inside, the seating is close together and a little awkward and I did not feel very welcomed by the staff. Just go to SB at the Albertsons it’s almost...
Read moreI would like this place to be successful because I go out of my way to avoid chain coffee shops and only go local. The person helping me was very friendly.
The cons: I’ve tried both the turmeric latte and a chai latte. I had to toss them both out after a couple of sips because it was sweet as drinking a soda. The first time I got a chai tea, I went in because the temp was in the low teens outside, and I wanted a hot drink - but it turned out to be barely room temperature.
While I appreciate the “out of the box” thinking with the seating - swings, church pew, etc - it left very little seating for traditional table and chair with a back. I always came to Alchemist to do work, but the new seating arrangements leave very little room for that.
Not sure if this has changed, but I was also a little concerned that all the pastries and cookies were on plates right next to the register, unwrapped, close enough that anyone could touch or sneeze on them.
Hope this place does well, we need more small businesses in Eagle, but I will be making my own tea at home and head to the library to work...
