We went to this place today, Sunday, Sep 1st, around 10 am. It was my husband, my 1-year-old, and me. We were greeted at the door by a nice woman. The place looked clean. There were about 5-6 tables with people when we arrived. We were seated promptly, and our waitress, Brandi, took our orders quickly. Brandi was very nice. However, it seemed like they were short-staffed. The waitresses seemed overwhelmed and stressed.
I'm giving one star not because of the waitresses, but because of the food and the cooks. We specifically asked if my daughter's one egg and two sausage patties could come out first, considering she's a toddler. We ended up waiting roughly 1 1/2 hours to start receiving our food. When the food finally arrived, my daughter's meal came out with ours, which was fine given how busy they were. Her egg was cooked properly. However, my husband's steak tips and eggs were cold, and he found a big hair in his food. I didn't take a picture, but it was a long piece of black hair tied into the food.
My egg white omelette was warm, but the eggs weren't cooked properly. It was as if they were runny. When we informed the server about the issues with our meals, she promptly took my husband's plate back. After 15-20 minutes, my husband finally received his meal. By then, we had been there for over two hours and were ready to leave. We asked for to-go plates, and when the server brought them, she also had the two sausage patties we had been waiting for. We only received a 5% discount. Given the fiasco, I expected a larger discount.
We weren't rude, but we were disappointed that the manager didn't come out to talk to us. When my husband tried his to-go meal at home, his steak was cold and very bloody, despite ordering it medium rare.
This place has potential, and the hardworking staff are definitely a plus. However, it seems like there was a lack of leadership and they were short-staffed. I'd suggest that they shouldn't seat as many people if they can't keep up with the tables. We probably won't be back, even though we love IHOP. I've never had such bad food at an IHOP before, and finding a massive hair in my husband's food was the final straw. If the manager is reading this, I hope you take the necessary steps to improve...
Read moreOverall a disappointing visit. We had a nice server (Brandy) , the $6.99 for eggs, bacon, hash browns , and unlimited pancakes is/was a deal and probably the only thing worth buying at IHOP, the fries were okay, the drinks were cold. That's about it. Here are some of the issues we had. The food was not hot, the entire restaurant was chilly, the ranch was not house made (awful prepackaged stuff) , 1$ charge for a small cap of salsa, the white gravy was not runny had the consistency of a thick pudding, the grilled chicken sandwich didn't taste grilled it was like sponge and literally dripping water out the bottom, all the syrup was artificial (just cheap flavored corn syrup) which was surprising since the restaurant is based on there pancakes. Lastly, 8.99 for a chicken sandwich that wasn't even good is criminal. Everywhere else you can get the same sandwich for 3-5 dollars. I can not see us returning ever again its always a disappointment. But if we did the only thing worth buying is the 6.99$ All you can eat pancakes special after the 2.59$ drink and tax your gonna spend $10.40. Which is not the cheapest or best tasting breakfast in town just a whole lot of meh. It's worth mentioning you can go to Golden Corral in Cherydale and get all you can eat breakfast which is hot, fresh, and tasty with a drink/juice for $10.40 after tax. The same breakfast special from Dennys is for $8.50$ , or Waffle House is $8.80. Or just cook at home and feed 3 to 5 people for $10 even. Let IHOP join blockbuster...
Read moreI went to the IHOP location in Easley, SC. By far this was the WORST experience I've ever had. Went in and was greeted and seated. The waitress came and took my order. She promptly brought my coffee and water. I sat there for about 40 minutes listening to the waitress and cooks argue. I was in the last booth furthest away from the service window. All you could hear was arguing about how slow everything was and messed up orders. It was not busy when I arrived, After about 40 minutes the waitress came over with my omelet and apologized they have not even started my pancakes. She said this place is a total mess, that's why today was her last day. She then laid the ticket on the table and said, "I'll take that when you are ready." After I was about done with my omelet she came from the service window and across the Dining room she spoke loudly and said "Do you want the Blueberries on top?" I SAID I don't care! A few moments later, she walked out with the plate. As she was walking away another Waitress yelled, "That's not your order! She then put the plate down and took the ticket with my card . The order was supposed to come with three pancakes, the order only came with 2. I asked her wasn't this supposed to come with 3? She said yes and walked away. As a Long time IHOP Customer, I WILL not be going back to this location! My bill was $18.06 plus a $4 tip. The Omelet was not worth $5. No seasoning, not well cooked and it looked like it was tossed...
