OJ's Diner — Restaurant in Easley

The last time my husband and I ate there (Friday,September 15, 2023) was very disappointing. We went about 4 pm, the okra was old and hard as rocks and so were the corn muffins. When we had our waiter take it back, he wasn't able to bring us a replacement because that was all they had available at the time. It didn't make sense to me to have food sitting under the heat lamp all day for hours, continuing to cook and getting hard. If it doesn't go within 2 hours, it needs to be replaced! The food should taste fresh with every order. The waitress and/or waiter staff does their best to serve you and make sure your needs are met, the cooks and the servers who place your food on the plates should do the same. The cooks and servers should know how to greet the customers and make sure all the food is fresh and edible. We paid a good bit for our dinner and we were unable to enjoy it. I tried to pick up my okra with a fork and they scattered across the room like I was shooting marbles. We also ordered the banana pudding, and the wafers were so hard that you couldn't even cut them with a knife. I don't know how long it had been sitting there. Sadly, we will NOT...

Found this location when our first choice restaurant was too busy. This is a cafeteria style diner where you pick the food as you go through the line and they dish it up for you.

On the evening we arrived they were already out of several items including the desserts. No prices posted so we didn't know how much the meal cost until we got to the cash register. Turns out everyone else knew it was a meat + 3 style place.

A server brought the drinks to our table and that concluded the service for the evening. I think we could have had refills on ice tea, but I was handed a can of soda, so no indication I could have more if I wanted.

Food was ok. Nothing special. Parking was reasonable. The diner is in a little strip mall so all the businesses shared the lot.

That was OJ's Diner. Just Good Food for me. This meal was so delicious that it actually sang to my soul. The Motown music playing was an added plus.

I got turkey and dressing with mac & cheese, some black-eyed peas, and turnip greens. So well-seasoned! I know you’re probably going to ask “where’s the gravy?” I didn’t need any. The turkey was moist and the dressing was super flavorful on its own. And, the cornbread was definitely not an afterthought. I’ve been to other places where the cornbread is usually super dry and inedible. Not the case here…moist and full of butter. 🤤

OJ’s Diner is one of the best meat & three places around. You will definitely...
