When I first started going to Duck Donuts towards the beginning of the year, it was great! The workers were very upbeat and welcoming. My husband loved the iced coffee and couldn’t stop talking about it. My 7yr old daughter and I got a couple fresh hot donuts that we heard a lot about. They tasted amazing and I have been back many times since because of this. My family and I came in today after a few months of missing out on these treats and things seemed different. It wasn’t the same vibe or workers. We stopped in bc I received my regular text notifications from duck donuts; this time referencing national ice cream sandwich day. The worker whom waited on us said we could only get vanilla donuts and no chocolate for the ice cream sandwich. My daughter and I agreed to this assuming they were possibly out. However, when asked about the donuts, chocolate was available. I did see some pre-made vanilla donuts sitting on the side of the fryer. We got the Oreo ice cream sandwich on vanilla donuts and were deeply disappointed with it. Regular vanilla donut drowned out the little bit of Oreos crumbs. My daughter talked about how unhappy she was with her ice cream sandwich all the way home. According to franchise, duck donuts prides themselves in serving hot fresh to order donuts to its customers. Why were we given pre-made donuts suddenly and told vanilla was all that was available if that clearly wasn’t true? My guess is the person serving us was being lazy and didn’t want to make the chocolate donuts and instead offered up the vanilla they had sitting around. Duck Donuts in East Brunswick just lost customers! I will try a different location...
Read moreDisgusting. Wish I could leave no stars. I ordered online and when I arrived the donuts were not made. They were having issues with the heater that warms the water that the donut sauces/toppings are kept in. It took a while for either or the employees to acknowledge me even though there was only one other customer in the store. Meanwhile they are taking sauce containers in/out of this water bath, which was dripping off of the container bottom into the other topping containers and all over the counter which had an open box of donuts waiting to be prepared. As a pregnant woman I was concerned for some kind of contamination, although it didn’t look like anyone would be getting donuts any time soon. I spoke to the employee, Savion, and asked for a refund so I could leave. He assured me that he spoke to his manager, Mitten, that a refund would be processed within 24 hours because it was an online order. It has been 2 weeks and I still have not received my refund. I’ve called and have spoken to several employees all of which say the manager is not in or will return my call. I’ve left messages. I have received no response. At this point I’m going to go through my credit card and try to get a refund because I’m tired of trying to track some kind of competent employee that can...
Read moreVisit Sunday 4/21/24. The East Brunswick location needs a refreshment training course. One of the worse experiences ever. The Middletown location is so much better. Arrived at approx 1:40pm with 3 employees who did not want to be there at all. They mentioned several times they should lock the door and call it a day. CASHIER was A. Daddio. They complained about having customers. They had a line of waiting customers, order not ready in the correct order, orders were sloppy and boxes needed to be carried with napkins so your hands didn't get dirty. They were using wrong size boxes that donuts were flying around the box. Luckly, the next crew of employees came in at about 215 and saved the day. if I didn't pay already I would have left. I'm definitely not going back to this location and will stick with Middletown NJ. Very disappointed, as customers left we all said to eachother the 1st and last time. Sad that there was no supervision for these employees. I don't think this location will have much success if they don't correct the customer service issue or train the...
