Nothing is wrong with this hotel except my experience today with the manager made me so sad and anxious. My wedding is next week in a different city and unfortunately the wrong hotel was booked for my parents while my entire family is booked at the hotel next to the banquet hall. My fiance made a terrible mistake as he usually stays in this hotel every month so he rebooked this hotel not realising. I called the booking website and they called the manager at this hotel to try and get an approval for a cancellation as It was a no cancellation booking, the manager denied which I understand but I wanted to get some further help as I was having really bad anxiety. I called the hotel myself to try and speak to the manager on duty and I expressed my anxiety and was super nice and nervous on the phone, I was almost in tears but was talking to her in a very nice tone as I worked in retail and completely understand customer service, she became really mean and I was so hurt, i asked her very nicely to speak to a higher up , she said “I won’t bother him he’s on vacation, how would you like It if you were bothered on vacation”, I was so taken aback in tears, I asked her permission if I can record the phone call (to capture her tone and demeaner) and she denied so I said “I completely understand I won’t record” and she hung up. I called back and said “I’m so sorry I think the phone call got disconnected” and she just said “no I hung up because I don’t consent to the call being recorded”, I said of course, I completely understand which is why I asked for permission and she was just so rude and mean when I spoke to her so kindly, I was so nervous and had such bad anxiety and her attitude made me cry so much after she hung up again. Before she hung up, she said “I have a booking I need to get to and they are first come first serve” I was trying to say “I understand, thank you so much for helping me out” but before I can even finish, she hung up on my face. I just wanted someone to hear me out, I won’t mention any names as I don’t want to expose the worker, I’m...
Read moreThis is one of 3 nights i stayed here this week. I come to this area 2x a year for work and usually like to stay here. It has been going downhill the past couple years. I checked in Thursday night around 11pm and I got in my room, unpacked and went to get in bed after a 9 hour drive and the sheets were very dirty. I had to change rooms. They put me in an upgraded room. When I got in that room it smelled so bad of mold and mildew but I was tired. In the morning I went to check in my next two days (added Thurs last minute) So when I did they said I had to move rooms again. So I happily did so. My new room looked decent. I unpacked and had to leave to work so when I got back from work, my room was hot. I turned the air down and about an hour later still hot 78 degrees. I went to front desk and he came and tried to fix the air. Told me that it is the only air conditioner that he didn't change out in the whole place. I thought to myself, then why am I in this room? You have made me move 3 times already. Then he told me they are sold out and that if in the morning the air still does not work he will give me another room and left. I had to work so just powered through the hot room. I worked a 12 hour day and came back to a hot room. No, they didn't give me another room and I was exhausted so I just slept in that hot room and it was 78 still. Now it is 2 nights in a hot room. Not only that, the refrigerator was barely working and the microwave is broken, It almost caught the paper cup of coffee I put in there to heat up on fire. A bug crawled right across my arm while I was laying in bed. Completely disgusting! I PROMISE I WILL NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AGAIN! I have been staying there the past 3 years.
I would rather pay more each night than stay there.
I understand things happen, I also was very nice to everyone about it.
This is a bad example of a Choice Hotel and am reconsidering using any Choice Hotel again.
It's sad when you feel you are treated unfairly as opposed to other guests they had...
The location of this hotel was perfect. It was about 10 mins from my destination and I loved that Wawa was across the street! That was about all I loved. The gentleman behind the desk that checked me in was kinda rude and could use some hospitality lessons. I honestly think he was a manager because he came in around 9 and left at 5 each day. He stopped in the middle of checking in the person in front of me to take a reservation over the phone. HOW RUDE! If I was that guest I would have been upset. The guest in front of you should always be priority, get a switchboard and put the guest on the phone on hold. My husband asked if our car was in camera view and if someone would be watching the cameras regularly as we had equipment in the car worth $2000+. The gentleman looked up and said that he can't tell us that and that we park at our own risk. A simple, "For security reasons we can't say that" would have been fine, but how can you say "you park at your own risk"? I didn't feel safe after that. I regularly checked on our vehicle the first night. Afterwards we just dropped everything off by one of my relatives that lives 30 mins away because I didn't think my car was safe. When I went into my room, I noticed POOP SPATTER on the toilet seat hinges. I FREAKED OUT! I was ready to leave, but unfortunately everything else in the area was booked. My husband went downstairs and talked to him and he had Mounah come up and clean it with disinfectant. Bed was uncomfortable and on the harder side. Everything else was okay after that. AC, phone, and TV all worked fine. Hotel's carpets and furniture could use some updating. Mounah, Monday morning's breakfast attendant, Emmanuel and the other young man that worked the desk at night were all very kind. All in all I wouldn't stay here again. I'd rather pay a little extra and stay somewhere cleaner,...
