So I sat down and waited for my friend. The waitress came over and asked me if I wanted a drink. I got an ice coffee. As I was waiting I began to ponder about the odd table design with the intrusive condiments shelf mounted on the wall, at eye height, right in front of my face, that blocked 35% of my friend when she came and sat down.
I looked over the menu, which was lacking excitement, and became quite indecisive about what to order. And not because there were too many options, but because everything seemed so bland and boring. They literally listed off ingredients and called it some lame name. There were no pictures at all, so I wasn't visually enticed by some photoshopped pancakes (IHOP) or even normal photos of pancakes... The lunch menu was bland and lacked images as well.
I ended up creating an omelet with vegetables and bacon. Now, the average price of their omelet was around $8, but I did not expect creating my own to cost me $6-$7 more... I mean, for God's sake it was just eggs, cheese, bacon, peppers and spinach! My omelet was $15... Of course, I can't forget to mention how the waitress gave me attitude for ordering something off the menu and about how they can't substitute vegetables for toast, which I never even brought up, because who does that? She also never told me that all of that was going to cost even a little more. I expected it would, but not that much!
Anyways, the food was decent but not anything to write home about. These people need to open for dinner so they don't need to charge $2.75 for freaking spinach. I spent $20 on breakfast! I've spent $20 at Morins bar & grill in attleboro and got steak & eggs, beer, and a muffin. Morins knocks it out of the park every time, their menu is awesome and creative, and they accommodate me for my obscure combos. Get over yourselves...

Read moreWas excited to try the corned beef hash here because they say it’s their specialty and it’s made in house, but it really wasn’t good. I appreciate it wasn’t out of a can but it was oily, had no seasoning, no onions and the potatoes weren’t browned at all! One of the two eggs was way undercooked. My son had pancakes which were also not good. They tasted like flour which means they were over mixed. Like the hash, they had no flavor. Does John ever taste his food? We should have known since all the other brunch places nearby were packed and Ed’s only had 6 people in there on a Saturday at 11am. I was surprised we had to wait SO long for our food. Then my son got his pancakes 5 mins before I got my hash. The place also looks like they never clean. As we were walking to our car, we passed the other brunch places and they now each had people waiting to get in. I’m guessing the few people who don’t want to wait, go to Ed ‘s. If you’re on Main Street, and don’t mind a small wait, go to Dante’s or Jiggers. If you’re looking for truly delicious, house made corned beef hash, try the...
